From the Velvet Ice Cream Company
UTICA, Ohio — Velvet Ice Cream is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with the debut of Star Spangled Swirl, a patriotic new ice cream flavor available exclusively at the Ohio State Fair’s newly renovated Dairy Building and at Ye Olde Mill in Utica.
Created in honor of the America 250 celebration, Star Spangled Swirl is a vibrant red, white and blue ice cream featuring bold blue raspberry, lime and cherry flavors. The limited-edition creation captures the spirit of summer, state fair traditions and this historic milestone in every scoop.
“As a family-owned Ohio company, we’re proud to celebrate the traditions that bring people together,” said Luconda Dager, President of Velvet Ice Cream. “The Ohio State Fair has been part of Ohio summers for generations, and we’re excited to introduce a flavor that honors America’s 250th anniversary while giving fairgoers a one-of-a-kind treat they can only find at the Fair and at Ye Olde Mill.”
For more than a century, Velvet Ice Cream has been creating handcrafted flavors that celebrate family, community and Ohio traditions. Star Spangled Swirl continues that legacy by combining bold, colorful flavors with one of Ohio’s most cherished summertime traditions.
Visitors to this year’s Ohio State Fair can enjoy Star Spangled Swirl exclusively inside the newly renovated Dairy Building, which now features expanded space and air conditioning to create an even more comfortable experience for guests. For individuals and families who want a more intimate experience, the unique flavor can also be ordered at Ye Olde Mill, in addition to the full menu of sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, sundaes, shakes and more. Ye Olde Mill also features family-friendly activities and events throughout the summer.
Whether visiting the Ohio State Fair or making a trip to Ye Olde Mill, guests are invited to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a scoop of this exclusive, limited-time flavor while supplies last.
