Pickerington Police May 11-17, 2026

May 12

3:21 a.m. After a traffic stop on Hill Road near Clint Drive, a 35-year-old Carroll woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain her lane.

10:18 p.m. An 18-year-old Pickerington man agreed to meet a woman named “Alicia” at the Hill Road Kroger to purchase an iPhone 17. She had posted her phone for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and they had agreed on a purchase price of $800. However, instead of Alicia, the teen was met by two unknown men.

They handed him a phone that appeared to be an iPhone on the outside, but the inside had been replaced with Google device components. When the Pickerington man refused to purchase the counterfeit phone, the two men became hostile, threatening that they “would beat your ass” if he did not hand over the cash.

The teen began laying on the horn to attract attention, and the men fled toward Refugee Road. The two reportedly attempted to climb into a vehicle occupied by a 22-year-old Pickerington man.

May 13

5:23 p.m. After a traffic stop, a 41-year-old Pickerington woman was cited for expired registration and driving under suspension.

7:18 p.m. A U-Haul struck another vehicle on Hill Road near Stonecreek Drive, then fled the scene.

9:27 p.m. Tools valued at approximately $1,000 were stolen from a truck parked on Winderly Drive.

May 14

10:10 a.m. After seeing an advertisement on TikTok, a 36-year-old Pickerington woman sent $3,250 to “Julia Azeroual” to pay for a Cartier watch, but the watch never arrived.

11:36 a.m. Officers cited a 32-year-old Pickerington man for speeding on Long Road and driving under a suspended license.

2:33 p.m. In the Pickerington Ponds neighborhood, a bag containing an unknown white substance was discovered in a cul-de-sac.

6:10 p.m. Overnight, tools valued at $400 were stolen from a truck parked at the Comfort Inn.

7:39 p.m. Police issued a “No Trespass” order to a 26-year-old Blacklick man whom Speedway staff claimed was smoking drugs in their bathroom.

8:07 p.m. A member at Planet Fitness reported that someone broke into his locker and stole his prescription pills.

May 15

2:25 a.m. A Kia Sorento speeding westbound on Refugee Road without headlights turned onto Fullers Drive to evade a traffic stop. Knowing that the road had no outlet, one officer laid stop strips across the roadway while another officer continued the pursuit.

However, the Kia did not reappear. Police found it abandoned in a field along the edge of the woods. The door and steering column showed signs of damage. Police deployed both a K-9 unit and a drone to search for the driver, but with no success. It was later determined that the vehicle had been stolen from Columbus on May 14.

7:16 a.m. A 28-year-old Pickerington woman reported that her vehicle had been stolen, but she later learned it had been repossessed.

9:52 a.m. Police arrested a 27-year-old Pickerington man at a home in Shadow Oaks on an outstanding warrant from the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office.

11:36 a.m. Police arrested a 35-year-old Pickerington woman at a home in Pickerington Village on an outstanding warrant from the City of Lancaster.

7:05 p.m. Staff at BP reported that a GMC Yukon had been parked in their lot for at least 30 minutes and that they had not seen the man slumped inside move at all. Police roused the 45-year-old Columbus man, then arrested him for driving under the influence, possessing an open container of alcohol, and operating a vehicle without a license.

May 16

12:01 a.m. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office requested that Pickerington police arrest a 35-year-old man at his home in Pine Ridge Estates on an outstanding warrant. Pickerington police complied, but because no deputies were available to conduct a transfer, the sheriff’s office instructed officers to return the suspect to his home.

8:21 a.m. Police had a disabled vehicle towed from Hill Road near Blacklick-Eastern Road because it was creating a traffic hazard.

9:48 a.m. Police had a disabled vehicle towed from Long Road near Diley Road because it was creating a traffic hazard.

7:18 p.m. Marcus Cinema asked police to issue “No Trespass” orders to two teenage girls.

8:55 p.m. A 23-year-old Pickerington man was cited for speeding and fictitious tags after a traffic stop on Hill Road near Opportunity Way.

11:10 p.m. After hearing a loud crash, a 17-year-old boy and his younger brother ran outside to discover that a Kia Sorento had struck a Cadillac parked on the street in front of their home in Preston Trails.

The driver allegedly ran from his vehicle and entered the front door of the boys’ house. The older brother said the suspect tried to give him a handgun, but when he refused to accept it, the man ran out the back door.

While searching the Kia, police found scattered business cards belonging to a 19-year-old man who lived a few streets away, and a drone later located the suspect entering the back door of his home. Nobody answered when police knocked on the door.

May 17

3:14 a.m. A girl was seen dashing into the woods near Long Road, and police caught up with her when she emerged into a backyard. She was reportedly an 11-year-old runaway from Westerville.

Pickerington Police May 4 – 10, 2026
