Mouth of the Wolf Productions will present the murder mystery farce Who Dun It? at the Grace Church Lithopolis Campus on March 15 and 16.

On a stormy evening, guests arrive at an ornate country mansion for a lavish soirée to celebrate Professor Plum’s recent fortune. After dinner, however, the evening takes a dark, sinister turn as the butler is found murdered.

“With plot twists, heightened characters, competition, jealousy and a lot of physical action, this show is fast paced and a lot of fun!” director Tina Gleason said.

Mouth of the Wolf Productions (MOTWP) latest play, Who Dun It?, is an original, family-friendly take on the classic 1940’s-era murder mystery genre.

Originally written by Nora Ash (Gleason’s daughter) as a three-person short, the script was transformed by the MOTWP writing workshop as a full-length show. It has previously been performed in Delaware at the Arts Castle.

“Our family plays the board game ‘Clue’ a lot,” Gleason said. “We started making up back stories and side stories in a “what if” exercise. Research led us to the 1980’s film Clue which solidified the inspiration for a farce.

With plot twists, heightened characters, competition, jealousy and a lot of physical action, this show is fast paced and a lot of fun!”

Proceeds from the show help MOTWP continue to provide stage opportunities for young actors and families. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will support the Brockstrong Foundation’s Random Acts of Kindness Campaign.

Per the Guidestar.org listing, “the Brockstrong Foundation was created to continue the legacy of Brock Johnson through showing compassion and kindness in our community, investing in our youth, and spreading random acts of kindness through everyone involved.

For those eager to experience the magic of Who Dun It?, the show will run for two nights only – March 15 and 16 at 7pm on the Grace Church Lithopolis stage (11573 Lithopolis Road, Northwest, Lithopolis).

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased either on MOTWP’s website or at the door the nights of the show.

On April 22 through May 20, children ages five to eight are encouraged to enroll in MOTWP’s spring acting classes. They will meet on Mondays from 4 pm to 5 pm (no class May 6) at Grace Church in Lithopolis.

“In this class, we will be working on line delivery, motivation and character movement as we build the script, The Princess and the Magic Potato. In this original story, we meet two princesses, both very different. One enjoys rules and being proper, while the other enjoys pushing the limits of adventure. What happens when they discover endless powerful magic?”

Lastly, July 11 and 12 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, MOTWP will offer “Page to Stage Summer Camp” in partnership with Square Canvas for ages six and older.

The camp will take place at the Square Canvas studio located at 10 East Waterloo Street, Unit A in Canal Winchester.

Square Canvas is an art studio offering splatter paint and pour paint classes, as well as drawing, crafts, and events for kids and adults. You can join a public art event or host your own private party, which has seating for 36 students and a splatter paint and pour paint studio.
