6:01 a.m. Columbus Police brought a 23-year-old pregnant Columbus woman to OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital after encountering her at a gas station, where she fell to her knees. Once at the hospital, she allegedly refused treatment, was disrespectful to emergency department staff and refused to leave. Pickerington Police issued the woman a no-trespass order and explained that if she did not leave the property, she would be arrested. She agreed to accept a rideshare offered by the hospital.
10:23 a.m. After years of a property line dispute with his Florence Drive neighbor, a 47-year-old man built a paver wall to mark the boundary. His neighbor, a 52-year-old man, disagreed with the wall’s placement and moved the pavers closer to the first man’s house.
The neighbors have a no-contact order prohibiting either man from trespassing onto the other’s property. The younger man told police the older man violated that agreement by moving the pavers.
June 16
1:17 p.m. After a 71-year-old Florida woman drifted into her lane on Hill Road near Old Diley Road, a 42-year-old Fairfield woman was cited for expired registration.
June 17
9:54 a.m. Overnight, an unknown person broke into a trailer parked at a motel on Winderly Lane and stole approximately $2,000 worth of tools.
12:20 p.m. A 78-year-old man accidentally left his wallet in a waiting room at OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital after staff called him to his appointment. When he returned, the wallet was still there, but approximately $1,300 in cash was missing.
Hospital surveillance recorded a 41-year-old woman entering the lobby and initially walking toward a chair before changing direction. She allegedly approached the area where the man had been sitting, looked around and placed something into her pocket.
A short time later, the suspect arrived at the police station with the missing cash. She told officers she found the money on the floor near a wallet that contained no identification. She said she took the money home, placed it in a jar and prayed about the situation while waiting to see whether anyone would claim it.
The woman also told officers she had previously found $100 at Kroger that no one claimed and believed this was another blessing. She did not realize that she had broken the law until hospital security contacted her. She said that she regretted not turning the money in immediately.
3:44 p.m. Following a traffic stop on Hill Road near Blacklick-Eastern Road, police cited a 35-year-old Groveport man for operating a vehicle without a license and improperly displaying his license plate.
June 18
1:08 a.m. Police cited a 27-year-old Columbus man for operating a vehicle without a license and driving with a missing headlight following a traffic stop on Hill Road near Tussing Road.
4:57 p.m. A 32-year-old Pickerington man allegedly struck another vehicle near the intersection of Hill and Diley roads, injuring the occupants, then fled the scene.
6:42 p.m. A patient at OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital surrendered a firearm to hospital security officers.
9:33 p.m. Police issued no-trespass orders to a 51-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman, both from Columbus, after they allegedly became involved in a verbal dispute with the manager of the Hill Road Kroger. The women told officers they believed the manager was upset with the quantity of groceries they were scanning at the self-checkout.
June 19
9:25 a.m. A manager of a local residential care facility reported an assault that allegedly occurred earlier in the day, in which a staff member was seen slapping a nonverbal 16-year-old resident. Investigation pending.
June 20
6:24 a.m. Someone stole approximately $8,500 worth of tools from a work vehicle parked at the Comfort Inn.
7:35 a.m. Police received a report that approximately $5,000 worth of tools had been stolen from a hotel on Winderly Lane.
10:37 a.m. A resident reported that more than $2,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from her bank account by a moving company she hired. She also reported the company significantly damaged her home.
9:08 p.m. A vehicle struck a parked car in the Kroger parking lot and fled the scene. Using store surveillance footage, police identified the suspect as a 26-year-old Pickerington man.
June 21
5:09 a.m. Police cited a 33-year-old Columbus man after he allegedly rear-ended a vehicle stopped on Hill Road near Stonecreek Drive South and fled the scene.
