Join Turkey Trot 5K to Benefit Tiger LAX

October 28, 2021

The Annual Tiger Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk to benefit Tiger Lacrosse is being held Saturday, November 13 at Pickerington High School Central Fieldhouse (300 Opportunity Way, Pickerington).

The event will begin at 8:30 am with a one-mile Kids Fun Run.  The cost to enter the fun run is $18.00 with each finisher receiving a medal and a goodie bag (no shirt).  Registration ends November 12.

For adult runners/walkers, the event begins at 9 am.  The cost to enter is $38.95.  Participants may choose to take part in person or virtually.  Registration ends November 10, but to be guaranteed a T-shirt and a medal you must register before November 7.

The Turkey Trot is hosted by the Pickerington Central and Ridgeview Lacrosse Teams.  The proceeds from the race benefit all four teams (boys and girls) by helping purchase equipment, uniforms and various other needs for the players.

“Our budgets were severely cut by the loss of last year’s athletic money and limited fan attendance due to Covid,” said Luann Bepler-Todd from the Tiger Lacrosse Boosters.

If you cannot participate, but still wish to support the teams, many of the players are participating with individual fundraisers.  The money raised by the individuals directly benefits whichever team on which they play.

To help a particular player reach their goal, please follow the donations link.

Senior Holly Stoner posted on social media that she would challenge herself to run a half mile for every dollar donated to her fundraising account.

Please follow the link to Stoner’s donations page.  At last check, she only had to run 15 miles.
