Pickerington & Violet Township Flag Day Retirement

Pickerington Mayor Lee Gray addresses the crowd. On June 14, 1776, the Second Continental Congress adopted the thirteen red and white stripes with a blue field of stars as the official flag of the United States. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson established June 14 to be “Flag Day”.
