Pickerington Police:

June 13

6:30 pm – A 45-year-old Pataskala woman passed out in the third-floor hallway of the Best Western.  When police arrived, she had regained consciousness but remained balled-up on the floor.  She explained that she had a liver condition that resulted in her falling unconscious.

The police found no drugs or drug paraphernalia. They did discover that Licking County had issued a warrant for her address. So the police released her to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office.

4:45 pm – Police responded to a call that a dog had been left in a car in the Giant Eagle parking lot when the outside temperature was 93-degrees. The windows had been left open. 7:15 pm – A 24-year-old Pickerington man entered a restaurant in the 1100 block of Hill Road North to pick up his carry-out order. The owner of the restaurant asked him to leave because the man was shirtless.

The man argued that it was hot, and he just wanted to pick up his order. The owner, still insisting that the man leave his shop, then allegedly retrieved a knife from the kitchen. In response the man allegedly retrieved a handgun from his vehicle.

The police issued the man a no-trespass order for the restaurant.

According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) “It shall be unlawful to dig, harvest, cut, root up, gather, or otherwise collect wild ginseng from its natural habitat except during the season of September first through December thirty-first of each year without written authorization from the chief of the division of wildlife. Full details are available in section 1501:31-40.”
