December 3

1:51 am A 22-year-old Violet Township man was charged with driving under the influence after he was pulled over for allegedly driving 61 mph on Diley Road which is 45 mph. He blew a .247 bac on the breath test. The legal limit in Ohio is .08 bac.

December 4

1:47 am A 31-year-old woman from St. Clairsville was arrested on a felony warrant out of Scioto County after an officer allegedly witnessed her driving without a plate light and making an illegal lane change on Interstate 70. She was driving on a suspended license.

11:44 am A Get-Go manager told police that over the weekend a 56-year-old Columbus man allegedly stole lighters valued at $800-1,000. He asked for cigarettes and when the clerk turned his back, the man grabbed the lighters.

3:36 pm A 73-year-old Pickerington man reported that someone stole his information and attempted to purchase a two iPhones from Spectrum.

December 5

1:02 pm A 52-year-old man told police that a .380 caliber Sig pistol was taken from his unlocked vehicle in the Windmiller neighborhood.

3:37 pm A 72-year-old woman told police that someone entered an open window of her home in Redbud Commons and taken jewelry and coins.

December 6

11:00 am A 42-year-old Columbus woman was charged with driving without a license, having fictitious plates and failure to maintain a safe distance after she allegedly rear-ended a vehicle at the intersection of Tussing Road and Winderly Lane.

  

 

6:14 pm A 17-year-old Pickerington boy allegedly texted naked photographs of his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend to the girl’s mother. He also threatened to send the mother a video of the girl having sex.

6:43 pm An unknown man allegedly scammed CVS by requesting a money order then deceiving the cashier with a cash payment trick. The store manager advised that the individual had also scammed other CVS stores.

7:36 pm Two Violet Township women were issued “No Trespassing” orders from Kroger on Hill Road after the two allegedly engaged in a verbal fight in the produce section.

December 7

12:32 am An unknown man carrying a knife in his hand allegedly left Speedway without paying for his soft drink, chips and candy. He dropped the knife in the parking lot before leaving in a white Chevrolet Impala with a black hood and duct tape over the driver’s side headlight.

8:01 pm A woman living in the Graystone neighborhood reported that her ex-boyfriend, a 45-year-old Pickerington man broke into her home and broke her phone.

December 8

6:44 pm A black vehicle struck a mailbox on Columbus Street west of Circle K. From the parts left at the scene, police determined the vehicle to be a Toyota.

December 9

3:18 pm A man allegedly took a cart of groceries from the Hill Road Kroger without paying. Witnesses reported that he left in a red Kia Sportage with a small child not in a car seat.

3:17 pm A 21-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman, both serial thieves from Columbus, allegedly stole a total of $215.00 worth of clothing from Kohl’s.

3:30 pm A 34-year-old Willard man and a 26-year-old Mansfield man were asked to leave Kohl’s. The store had received bulletins that the men had robbed other stores.
