Pickfair Square, a United Church Homes nonprofit affordable housing community in Pickerington, Ohio, received $2,174 from the Alma S. Busby Fund of the Fairfield County Foundation.

The grant aids approximately thirty-three older adults with a laptop, printer and iPad allowing residents to participate in online benefits enrollment, telehealth visits and positive mental well-being through social connections to loved ones and cognitive stimulation through online games.

“We are very grateful to the foundation for their generous grant to safeguard vulnerable older adults during this challenging time,” said Gloria Hurwitz, vice president of advancement at United Church Homes.

Pickfair Square plans to measure the success of its residents using technology and their quality of life through connectedness.

United Church Homes is the 8th largest nonprofit provider of managed senior living and affordable housing and 21st largest multisite, nonprofit senior living organization in the U.S. according to the 2021 LeadingAge Ziegler 200 ranking, serving more than 5,500 residents in its owned and managed communities.
