This weekend, enjoy Little Shop of Horrors at Wagnalls Memorial (150 E Columbus St, Lithopolis).
The award-winning musical, scored by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin), Little Shop of Horrors “is a cult classic of live theater that audiences have enjoyed for years and years to come,” said producer Donna Elliott.
Seymour Krelborn (Dan Hildebrand) is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik’s, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard (Liz West) and is berated by Mr. Mushnik (James Semmelroth Darnell) daily. One day as Seymour is seeking a new mysterious plant, he finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper. Soon enough, Seymour feeds Audrey’s sadistic dentist boyfriend (Connor Daughtery) to the plant. Will Audrey II take over the world or will Seymour and Audrey defeat it?

Audrey II is such a big part of Little Shop of Horrors that it takes two actors, Dave Zwiebel (voice) and Scott Gottliebson (puppeteer), to bring it to life.
“The audience will be amazed at Audrey II taking over Wagnalls Community Theater!” Elliott said
The show is directed by Chris Gallaugher with Wave Wilkerson as music director and choreography by Jenny Small.
The show runs Friday through Sunday, the weekends of November 4 and 11. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 pm with 2 pm Sunday matinees. Tickets cost $15.00 and can be found at: https://wagnalls.ticketleap.com/little-shop-of-horrors/dates
