Residents looking to jump-start a healthier lifestyle, discover local wellness resources or simply enjoy a fun afternoon with the family are invited to attend the inaugural Fit Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Victory Park.

The free event, organized by the Pickerington Village Association, combines fitness classes, family activities, local businesses and friendly competition in an effort to connect community members with the many health and wellness resources available close to home.

“The Pickerington Village Association was looking for a new summer event and asked if I might be interested in putting something together,” said Kate Hintershied, the association’s media director. “As the Farmers’ Market manager, I have spent years working with local vendors and wanted to focus on the wellness aspect. I also have connections to a few of the gyms that are involved and wanted to give them and all the local wellness businesses a place to show the community what they have to offer.”

While fitness is at the heart of the event, Hintershied emphasized that Fit Fest is designed for everyone—not just seasoned athletes.

“This event isn’t just for those who are fitness enthusiasts already; it is for anyone curious about local resources to help them stay healthy at any age,” she said. “Everyone has different goals when it comes to their health, and our goal is to connect them with the resources that can help them achieve whatever it is they are working toward.”

Throughout the afternoon, visitors can participate in free classes including yoga, Pilates/barre and hip-hop dance. The sessions are designed for all skill levels, giving participants the opportunity to try something new in a welcoming environment.

One of the day’s signature attractions will be the Fitness Relay Competition, where teams from local gyms will compete for the title of “Fittest in Pickerington.”

“I personally am looking forward to the classes and the fitness relay,” Hintershied said. “I can’t wait to see Life Time, Title Boxing and Orange Theory battle for the trophy in the relay. I know the classes will be great. The instructors have been hard at work putting together some fun classes that I think the community will really enjoy.”

Beyond the fitness activities, Fit Fest will feature wellness vendors, family-friendly games, crafts and a scavenger hunt. Primrose School will host a children’s obstacle course, and the Pickerington Public Library’s Library on the Go will be on site with books and activities.

The Lions Club of Pickerington will provide free eye exams throughout the event.

Attendees can also enjoy food from local vendors, including Pitabilities, Vegan Soul Child and Bes Teas Drink Den.

The event extends into the Village through a shopping passport, encouraging visitors to explore participating businesses. Several merchants will offer Fit Fest specials, including 10 percent off purchases at Molt & Moon during the event. Oasis Face Bar will offer first-time guests a complimentary facial customization—a value of up to $25—with the purchase of any Targeted Treatment facial through Oct. 31.

“This is a free family-friendly event that is meant for anyone,” Hintershied said. “Everyone has different goals when it comes to their health and our goal is to connect them with the resources that can help them achieve whatever it is they are working toward.”

Admission and all activities are free. For additional event information, visit the Pickerington Village Association’s website.

The 2026 Elevate Pickerington passports and stickers will be available at the event for those seeking to earn prizes.
