First Ever Pickerington Home & Garden Expo This Weekend!

April showers are bringing May flowers to the city of Pickerington early this year with the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce’s first annual Home & Garden Expo!

On April 1 from 10am-1pm, head upstairs to the event space at Combustion Brewery & Taproom to meet with local businesses dedicated to improving homes inside and out.

The show is presented by Ohio Water Heaters, and sponsored by J. Riley Company Roofing and Restoration, Capitol Fence and Coldwell Banker Realty.

Admission into the Home & Garden Expo is free, so make sure to bring your family and friends!

Now, why bring a Home & Garden Expo to Picktown? Well, Jeff Comer, Director of Marketing and Membership for Pickerington’s Chamber of Commerce, has the answer!

“We have so many great Pickerington Chamber members in the Home and Garden Category that we wanted to highlight them. Plus, there is currently no Home and Garden Expo in Pickerington, so it is a great opportunity for our community and the Chamber,” he explained.

With 30 vendors on the roster for the show, visitors will see a snapshot of what our incredible community has to offer.

“This is a first-year event and there is a great buzz around Pickerington and our surrounding cities. There will be live music, a food truck, a scavenger hunt, prizes and of course great drinks from Combustion Brewery,” Comer said.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Rese Jhordan, who beat hundreds of competitors to win the 99.7 The Blitz Acoustic Idol competition.

There will also be a scavenger hunt where attendees are encouraged to stop by every vendor booth to get a stamp. Completed scavenger hunt sheets can be dropped into a bucket for a chance to win a Kayak, Bike & Brew Tour of Buckeye Lake from 3xpTours.com.

Chamber President & CEO Kim Barlag added, “This is a great kick-off to spring. There are other activities going on that day as well, including a yard sale at the Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society and a book sale at the Pickerington Library. Area retail shops will be open as well. Come enjoy the day in Olde Pickerington Village.”
