Pickerington Central Standout Named McDonald’s All American

Before she becomes a member of the Illinois Fighting Illini women’s basketball team, Pickerington High School Central standout Berry Wallace will battle against the top high school basketball players in the nation.

Today, Wallace was named a 2024 McDonald’s All American. She will join an elite group of players to compete in this year’s Games on April 2 in Houston. Wallace was chosen from a list of 729 nominees by some of the nation’s top analysts, prep scouts, media and coaches based on a competitive criteria.

She now has a chance to make her mark on the national stage at the McDonald’s All American games this April, where some of the games’ top players have showcased their basketball skills over the years. Check out the complete list of 2024 McDonald’s All Americans on mcdaag.com.

Wallace, rated a five-star prospect and #20 overall player in her class by ESPN HoopGurlz, committed to
Illinois last May. Wallace also held offers from Clemson, West Virginia, Michigan, Ohio State, Harvard and
Cincinnati, among others.

Whether you’ll be taking in the action in Houston or at home, you’ll be able to see Wallace and the next
generation of high school basketball greats ball out on one of the biggest stages in April.

Fans can tune in to the POWERADE® Jam Fest on Monday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The 2024 McDonald’s All American Games will start with the Girls Game on Tuesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and the Boys Game will immediately follow on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.
