Pick. Police Reports December 17-24, 2023

December 17

12:01 am A 15-year-old Pickerington girl allegedly stole her mother’s Nissan Rogue. Her 19-year-old sister attempted to stop her by jumping on the hood, but the girl just accelerated toward Meadows Boulevard then tried to dislodge her sister by slamming on the brakes. She drove to a friend’s house on the west side of Columbus then returned home at 2:46 pm.

4:42 am An armed robbery allegedly occurred at Speedway.

December 19

1:14 am A 19-year-old Columbus man was arrested on a warrant out of Grove City after he was pulled over on Winderly Lane for not having a license plate light. He did not have a driver’s license.

2:43 am Two Pickerington men (ages 22 and 23) allegedly shoplifted from Speedway. One of the men was believed to be the armed robber from two days earlier. He was dressed in the same clothes that he had worn on Sunday.

8:39 am Two employees at Embassy of Pickerington allegedly got into a fight after they both called each other “lazy”. A witness claimed the 37-year-old Columbus woman “A” allegedly grabbed the 18-year-old Violet Township woman “B” by her shirt and threw a punch. “B’ caught the punch and pushed “A” into a wall. “A” then shoved “B” onto a table, knocking it over. Coworkers broke up the fight.

December 20

9:29 am A 31-year-old man suffered a medical episode which caused him to pass out and hit the Get Go sign.

4:15 pm A 34-year-old woman at Scarlet Dental allegedly refused to leave unless the office promised not to bill her for a teeth cleaning.

December 21

 

 

1:23 am Police were called to Pineridge Estates on reports of a woman brandishing a gun in front of a residence. Upon arrival officers met a 23-year-old Columbus woman “A” and her 25-year-old sister “B” neither of whom had a gun. “A” told officers that she had come to the home to retrieve her 5-year-old son who was living at the home.

The boy’s grandmother was awoken by screaming coming from the kitchen. Her daughter’s sister was having a seizure at the same time that “A” and “B” began pounding at the door. The grandmother told everyone to be quiet so that she could dial 9-1-1 but “A” and “B” kept pounding.

The boy’s father opened the door and the women tried to rush past him. However, he and his stepfather were able to push them outside and tell them to leave.

“B” then began destroying the Christmas decorations in the front yard.

She later told police, “I f____d up their whole front yard. If they want me to pay for their lights, I will gladly not pay for those lights” and that she would “kick them all over again.”

While the police waited outside with the women, paramedics attended to the ill girl in the kitchen.

“B” told police that the grandmother had placed a $25,000 hit on her.

When the grandmother opened the door to let out the dog, “B” yelled, “You son about to die, he shoulda never put his hands on me.”

The grandmother then went to speak with the mother of “A” and “B” who had just arrived.

“B” then screamed, “Get the f__k away from my mom, you shiesty ass b__h. I will beat the f__k outta her. I don’t care about none of that s__t. I will beat the f__k out of that lady.”

She then yelled that she knew about the $25,000 hit and that she also knew it had been doubled to $50,000. The grandmother replied that if she had placed a hit on “B” then “you would already be dead.”

5:26 pm A 30-year-old Columbus woman allegedly was associated with shoplifting at Circle K.

December 22

1:58 am Two young men and a teenage boy were smoking marijuana in a vehicle parked off Knights Bridge Drive.

December 23

2:08 am The fire hydrant on Diley Road just north of Red Bud Commons was struck by a vehicle and left in the roadway. A piece of bumper was also found on the scene. Driving south on Diley, an officer located pieces of the vehicle’s plastic undercarriage as well as shredded pieces of tire.

In Preston Trails, the police found a Chevy Silverado with a flat rear tire, a shredded front tire and a piece missing from the front bumper. Allegedly passed out in the driver’s seat was a 37-year-old Pickerington man. The officer roused the man. When asked if he would submit to a field sobriety test, he answered “no” because he would not pass it.

2:13 am A 17-year-old Columbus boy allegedly pulled a gun on the driver of a vehicle that cut in front of him as he was leaving the Steak-N-Shake drive thru.

9:10 pm A 24-year-old Reynoldsburg man and a 35-year-old Columbus man allegedly got into a fight at Rule 3. At least one pulled a knife.

December 24

5:16 am A 44-year-old Columbus man allegedly followed a woman from machine to machine at Planet Fitness. He left when she did then he followed her in his Jeep.
