October 1

2:44 am A 71-year-old Pickerington man allegedly told police, “I’m not going to play your games,” when they asked him to take a field sobriety test. He had been pulled over for a marked lanes violation at the corner of Refugee and Hill Roads. He also declined a breathalyzer test.

11:27 am An unknown person wearing a red hoodie, mask and glasses entered the back door of Roosters which had been propped open. The person used a key to enter the office and stole four tills. Each till held $150.

3:42 pm A man in a red sweat suit allegedly crawled across the parking lot at Ohio Health then used a tool to break the window of a Dodge Challenger. A video showed him rummaging through the car before running to an occupied Toyota Camry which then left the lot.

5:54 pm A 32-year-old Columbus woman who was allegedly driving without a license was wanted on a Florida warrant.

October 2

5:28 pm A GMC Acadia caught fire on the exit from Interstate 70 onto Hill Road.

3:05 pm Two students were allegedly caught smoking marijuana in the 300 Wing restroom of Pickerington High School Central.

4:04 pm A woman reported that her son’s trumpet had been stolen from Ridgeview STEM Junior High School sometime between August 12 and August 17.

9:33 pm A security guard allegedly threatened to harm a customer who he believed had stolen alcohol from the store on a previous date.

October 3

1:13 am A 25-year-old Canal Winchester woman was allegedly driving without lights, and she had a suspended license.

4:51 pm A 52-year-old Pickerington man reported that someone had stolen a check that he had mailed. The unknown person made copies of the check which were cashed for $6,800 by a trucking company in Cincinnati.

October 5

1:07 pm Two unknown females and one unknown male stole alcohol from Giant Eagle.

October 6

3:55 am A Hyundai reported stolen from the apartments on Charles Court was recovered the next day by Columbus Police.

4:26 am A 27-year-old Columbus man was cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after allegedly making a marked lanes violation near the corner of Hill and Refugee Roads.

7:30 am A Blacklick man used an app to trace his stolen vehicle to Country Club Lane.

9:52 am A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy allegedly were caught stealing from Circle K.

8:12 pm Someone broke into a vehicle parked at Cracker Barrel and stole $800 cash plus tools valued at $1300.
