Tonight is the night! For a $5.00 donation to the Pickerington-Violet Historical Society, you will gain entry to Olde Pickerington Village’s Chocolate Hop from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Chocolate Hop is like Trick-or-Treating for all ages. First, you acquire a map from the table beside the Pickerington-Violet Historical Museum. Then, you follow the map to treats and fun!

This year’s Hop promises to be better than ever. Grab a buckeye and have your photo taken for free in The Candid Camper photo booth. Sample elegant confections from Posh Tea Time’s Duchess Tea Cart. If you are 18 and older, you may enter to win a golf tote from England Insurance Agency. Snacks with a Twist will join the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce to pass out pretzel treats. The museum will feature art by students at Pickerington High School North.

Along with giving out candy, Combustion Brewery & Taproom will be releasing their chocolate blonde ale, “Golden Ticket”, and will be hosting the Tortilla Food Truck from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Outside Combustion, the folks from Pickerington Farmer’s Market will be offering chocolate milk as well as information about their upcoming market season which runs Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. starting in June.

In the gazebo, Kim Richardson will provide live music on her hammered dulcimer. While you listen, stop by Pickerington Online’s table to learn about Visit Fairfield County’s Wands & Wizards event August 10-11.

Overall, there are more than twenty stops along the Chocolate Hop trail, and you won’t want to miss a single one. Maps may be purchased ahead of time at The Humble Crate Artisan Marketplace, Ruby Joy Boutique or Hair Boutique.
