November 21

11:30 pm A boy (Boy A) at Pickerington High School Central sat to say “hello” to a friend, when a 16-year-old boy (Boy B) allegedly pulled the chair from underneath him. The fall aggravated Boy A’s knee which was still healing from ACL surgery.

Boy B allegedly lifted Boy A by his shirt and demanded, “why the f__k are you talking to my girl?”

Not wishing to aggravate his knee further, Boy A left.

An hour later, during fifth period lunch, staff witnessed Boy B argue loudly with another 16-year-old boy (Boy C). Administrators had separated the two and Boy C had agreed to go to the office, when Boy A called him a “B word”.

At that, Boy C dropped his backpack and aggressively approached Boy B. The assistant principal tried to hold him back. Boy B threw a closed fist punch at Boy C, but Boy C dodged, and the punch landed on the left side of the assistant principal’s face. She immediately dropped to the ground. The boys continued to throw punches at one another until separated by administrators and police.

The assistant principal was rushed to the emergency room where X-rays determined that she had received multiple bone fractures and a displaced jaw. She also experienced a slight loss of hearing, blurred vision and a sore neck. Doctors advised that she may suffer lasting nerve damage.
