February 26
3:07 a.m. A 14-year-old boy sent nude photos of himself to a woman named “Andrea” that he met on Snapchat. “Andrea” threatened to send the photographs to the boy’s Instagram followers unless he paid her $300.00.
The boy stole a family member’s credit card and sent $100.00 to “Andrea’s” PayPal account. She already had sent photos to a few of his followers.
12:37 p.m. A 19-year-old Pickerington woman allegedly “woke up with a hankering for McDonalds”. When she entered her 22-year-old sister’s room to borrow car keys, the two got into a fight and the police were called. Each sister claimed the other had started the fight.
1:44 p.m. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked along Pickerington Ridge Drive.
February 27
2:42 a.m. A man was arrested for an existing warrant after officers pulled him over in Fox Glen East for a burned out tag light.
February 28
8:02 a.m. A 15-year-old Pickerington boy and his friend allegedly stole Apple Air Pods from a vehicle parked along Monebrake Drive.
3:24 p.m. A 41-year-old Columbus man and a 61-year-old Columbus man allegedly tried to cash bad checks at Kemba Financial Credit Union.
March 1
7:05 a.m. An officer found a folding knife that looked like a handgun near Stonebridge and Hill Road.
March 2
3:03 p.m. Three boys were allegedly kicking in doors and harassing residents at Lake’s Edge Apartments. When the police arrived, the kids took off, but an officer was able to grab one of the boys. As the officer began to question the boy, an angry resident came around the corner yelling, “He’s the one who kicked my door in!”
The boy told the officer that the other boys were to blame. When asked why he was running, the boy answered that the officer caught him during his “normal jog”.
The boy then led the officer to the other kids’ apartment – brothers ages eight and 12.
3:59 p.m. A Pickerington man reported that a $150 check that he had placed in the mailbox behind Wendy’s on Refugee Road had been stolen, washed and rewritten for $8,900.64.
March 3
3:36 p.m. An 18-year-old Pickerington Central student told police that her phone was stolen at school. Police “pinged” the phone to Thrush Circle where it was found in a 17-year-old girl’s closet.
6:18 p.m. A 21-year-old Pickerington man was arrested on a warrant after he was pulled over for allegedly driving the wrong way down Park Alley.
