What is better than having an ice-cold beer and checking out Pickerington’s coolest cars? Being able to have both at the same time!
Join the Pickerington Lions Club for their annual Cruise-In • Brews event on June 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hosted at Combustion Brewery & Tap Room (80 West Church Street), this car show combines refreshing beers, live music, food trucks, jaw-dropping car models and community pride.
Although the event is free, car registration proceeds will be helping to fund various Lions Club charities. It costs $15 to register a car, with registration between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., you can enter the Frozen T-shirt contest and the car awards will be announced at 3 p.m.
Pickerington Lions Club member David Rosen explains that Lions Club funds support “free eye screening for preschool age children and free eye exams and glasses for adults and kids in need. You can see all things the Lions donate to on our website: pickeringtonlions.com. Supporting the Lions Club helps to support our community.”
Cruise-In and Brews is hosted by C-Town Cruisers, a club founded in Columbus that hosts family-friendly car events.
Sponsors for the event include Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet, Capitol Fence, Rule 3, Rising Eagle Property Services, JDog Junk Removal & Hauling and Wagner Insurance Agency.
From noon to 10:00 p.m., visitors will be able to enjoy delicious snacks and meals from a variety of food trucks including Mauger’s Mini Donuts, Poppy’s Roadside Diner, Schmidt’s Sausage Truck, Tortilla Street Food and Zaki Mediterranean Grill.
Enjoy live music from great bands including 26 Sips (12:30 – 2:30 p.m.), Alex Schrock Trio (3:30 – 5:00 p.m), Bullit Brothers (5:30 – 7:30 p.m.) and The Fabulous Johnson Brothers (8:00 – 10:00 p.m.).
Combustion will be releasing Helles on Wheels – Lager! Per the brewery’s website, “This beer is incredibly subtle in its complexity with slightly sweet malt undertones that finish crisp, clean and balanced! Very light and refreshing, this quencher pairs well with warm summer days!”
