Pickerington Police March 23-29, 2026

March 23

11:42 a.m. A resident reported that his gun was missing from his vehicle. He did not know if the firearm was taken while his car was parked in Pickerington or Columbus.

12:10 p.m. A worker at the development at the corner of Busey and Hill Roads allegedly got drunk at work and began driving his truck around the property erratically with the tailgate open, causing cases of beer to fall out.

4:27 p.m. In January, a woman mailed a personal check from the Pickerington Post Office. In March, she discovered that the check had been intercepted, washed, and rewritten for $8,000.

8:19 p.m. Police stopped a 31-year-old Pickerington driver on Hill Road near Courtright Drive for an expired registration.

March 24

6:15 p.m. After running a red light at the intersection of Diley and Hill Roads in front of a police officer, a 24-year-old man was also cited for driving without a license.

8:21 p.m. Someone opened a credit card using the identity of a Pickerington woman and made $1,800 worth of fraudulent charges.

March 25

2:52 p.m. Pickerington Police and Violet Township Fire officials were dispatched to a fire at the Turnberry Apartments. At the time of the report, the cause of the fire had not been determined. There were no injuries reported.

8:58 p.m. While his girlfriend stayed in the car with the engine running, a 24-year-old Columbus man allegedly pounded on the doors and windows of a home on Refugee Road, threatening one of the occupants that he would “catch you when you leave.” Police arrested the man on a warrant out of Scioto County.

9:09 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the Hill Road Kroger after an unknown suspect took $300-$500 worth of energy drinks, then ran out of the store.

March 26

12:22 p.m. Items were stolen from homes under construction in the Reserve at Pickerington Ponds.

3:09 p.m. The manager of Mr. Tire reported that 181 tires worth a total of more than $20,000 had been stolen from the store. Surveillance footage from 7 p.m. the previous night showed the arrival of a box truck along with a Jeep belonging to one of his employees. Two people entered the business, and 56 minutes later, they returned to the vehicles and left the area.

Although the footage was not clear, the manager believed that the other person was also an employee. Both employees called off work the next day.

3:40 p.m. Flock cameras alerted Pickerington Police that a vehicle reported stolen from Columbus was on Hill Road near Diley. The driver, a 53-year-old Pickerington man, was released per the prosecutor’s office.

March 27

2:16 p.m. Police arrested a 37-year-old Pickerington man on an outstanding warrant after spotting his car parked at Peace United Methodist Church.

3:16 p.m. Police issued a “No Trespass” order to a teenager causing a disruption at the main branch of the Pickerington Public Library.

6:23 p.m. Police cited a 28-year-old Reynoldsburg woman for driving with a suspended license and speeding after an officer clocked her driving more than 20 mph over the speed limit on Columbus Street just east of Pickerington Village.

8:31 p.m. An officer responded to a report of two men fighting on Langtree Drive where it dead ends near Wright Road. One of the men, a 31-year-old from Fox Glen West, told police that he had been walking to church when he came upon the other man, a 30-year-old from Knight’s Bridge, who was distraught. He was offering the man assistance back to his home when the officer arrived.

At this point, the homeowners association secretary approached and disputed the story. She said that the previous day, she heard the man from Fox Glen tell the younger man, “I told you I’d get the stuff and you owe me money!” She said that the two had been having the same argument for weeks.

The Fox Glen man was arrested on a tax warrant.

8:39 p.m. Police located a 35-year-old Columbus woman who left Icon Nails & Spa without paying for her manicure.6:08 p.m. Two Columbus men, ages 25 and 26, were arrested and charged with theft and falsification after allegedly stealing approximately $400 from Ulta Beauty.

 

March 28

4:27 p.m. Police responded to a report that multiple juveniles were fighting on Melrose Boulevard.

10:26 p.m. After pulling over a 37-year-old Pickerington man in the Reserve at Pickerington Ponds for driving 10 miles above the speed limit, an officer cited the man for speeding, driving on a suspended license, and not wearing a seatbelt.

March 29

2:35 p.m. A 46-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man, both of Columbus, allegedly caused a disturbance at Marcus Cinema over a canceled rental. Police issued both “No Trespass” orders.
