Looking for ways to stay active? Love hiking but don’t want to go alone? Are you 55 or older? On the second Wednesday of each month, meet just before 9:00 a.m.
We will set out on a hike to search for bugs in different habitats – forest, pond, field – to see what lives in each. After collecting bugs using nets or our hands, we will put them in containers and study them! An expedition that is fun for the whole family!
Join naturalists for a midnight mothing foray where visitors can mill between the mothing sheet outdoors to a selection of live native Ohio caterpillars on display inside the nature center.
Get an introduction to edible plants, then set out to find some of them.
Spiders, ants, and moths – oh my! Get your toddlers outside with nets and containers (provided), and let’s see what we can catch. Be prepared for a short hike.
We will set out in search of fabulous paw paws and, yes, taste what we find. We may even go off trail, so be ready to hike up to 2.5 miles!
