LANCASTER, Ohio — The Mill Event Center will host a unique fundraiser beginning at 2 p.m. on September 6 to benefit two non-profit organizations impacted by recent floods in Lancaster – The Lancaster Festival and Harcum House.

“A Wheel Good Time for Wheelie Good Causes,” will feature big wheel races, little bike obstacle courses, hippity hop races and more, with a prize awarded to the winning team during a grand finale race and prizes for the best dressed/costumed team.

The brainchild of Brad Hutchinson, the event will be a fun way for the community to come together to help alleviate some of the financial burden left by the recent floods. “This is going to be a day for adults to come and play like kids for a few hours, have some fun and raise some money for two really important organizations,” said Hutchinson, local entrepreneur and owner of Company Wrench.

The event is being completely coordinated by volunteers. l. “This has gone from a wild idea to a reality in less than a week,” said Hutchinson. “It’s amazing what a group of people who are committed and passionate can get done!”

Teams of five can register now at www.wheeliegoodcause.com. Team entries submitted by midnight on September 4 are $100. Day-of registrations will be $150 and will be limited based on availability. Participants must bring and wear a helmet.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to bring cash for fundraising activities such as a 50/50, pull tabs and more. There will be a cash bar, and food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase.

Event coordinators are seeking additional sponsors and donations. More details and registration information can be found at www.wheeliegoodcause.com.

“Wanna race?” said Hutchinson. “Then, get your team together and join us on September 6!”
