Tractor Supply to Honor Local Heroes with Donation and Community Event Nov. 1

October 27, 2025

The Pickerington Tractor Supply store will celebrate National Hometown Heroes Day on Saturday, Nov. 1, by donating $500 to the Violet Township Fire Department. The store will also host a community celebration featuring a Touch-a-Truck event, food trucks, and live music in honor of local first responders and veterans.

The Pickerington event is part of a nationwide effort by Tractor Supply Company, which is donating more than $1 million in a single day to police, fire, and veteran organizations across America. Every one of the company’s 2,300+ stores will contribute $500 to a local organization. In Ohio alone, 158 groups will receive donations totaling $54,000.

“These Heroes embody courage and commitment, and we’re proud to honor them year-round,” said Hal Lawton, President and CEO of Tractor Supply. “With National Hometown Heroes Day, we’re uniting communities across the country to celebrate their service and sacrifice.”

In addition to the donation, each Tractor Supply store will host family-friendly activities such as thank-you note stations, Americana crafts for kids, and giveaways. Local first responders and veterans will be on-site to meet residents and take part in the celebration.
