Holiday adventures are set to shine across Fairfield County as Visit Fairfield County launches the 2025 Tinsel & Traditions Trail, a countywide collection of festive events and seasonal celebrations happening throughout the holiday season.

The trail highlights some of the region’s most beloved traditions, including the Advent Window Walk, the Downtown Christmas Stroll, the Pickerington Holiday Gathering, and the Glass Town Countdown —creating an easy way for visitors and families to experience the magic.

Each event offers its own flavor of holiday cheer, giving travelers plenty of reasons to explore Fairfield County this time of year. A major draw of this year’s trail is the newly expanded Lancaster Holiday Spirit Trail, now open to communities throughout Fairfield County. Residents and businesses can sign up to showcase their holiday displays on an interactive digital map available on the Visit Fairfield County app and website.

The map launched in mid-November and continues through the end of December, offering travelers a scenic, choose-your-own-route drive filled with glowing homes, decked out storefronts, festive touches, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. The Advent Window Walk brings a dose of artistic wonder to Lancaster’s historic district, where nightly window reveals unfold throughout the month of December.

This year’s theme is “Pop Culture Christmas,” where each window display is inspired by a source of Christmas in pop culture. Each display showcases a unique light-filled scene, transforming the neighborhood into an open-air art gallery. A digital map is available on the Visit Fairfield County app, with a printed version available at the visitor center for travelers who prefer a traditional guide in hand.

Visitors can also look forward to the inaugural Downtown Christmas Stroll—an evening of fellowship, music, and holiday cheer visiting five festive churches within historic Square 13; the Pickerington Holiday Gathering and Tree Lighting, featuring Santa visits, wagon rides, family activities, festive shopping, the City’s tree lighting ceremony, and the Lion’s Club Lighted Parade; and to wrap up the season’s celebrations, Lancaster’s Glass Town Countdown, the beloved New Year’s Eve celebration capped by its signature glass globe drop and fireworks display.
