Are you ready to wander through the Wardrobe? Have you stocked up on Turkish Delights?
This weekend, the Victoria Players Children’s Theater (VPCT) brings the world of Narnia to life with its production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, the first story in C.S. Lewis’ beloved series.
Directed by Jill Henwood, the show follows the Pevensie siblings as they discover a magical world of talking animals, ancient prophecies, and unexpected friendships during their escape from the dangers of World War II. In Narnia, they encounter a kingdom locked in endless winter under the spell of the White Witch (Julia Paini) and find themselves swept into the rising conflict led by Aslan the Lion (Jack Westhoven).
“The show is fantastic—everything goes together well,” Westhoven says. “The fight scenes are very well choreographed.”
“You will love the different battle scenes,” adds Franco Williamson, who plays Edmund Pevensie. “That’s the best part.”
