Noon Year’s Eve at the Sycamore Branch of the Pickerington Library attracted a record crowd for face painting, balloon animals, crafts and more. Violet led the dance party and the noon balloon drop. Photos by Heath Scofield



At midnight on Lancaster’s Zane Square, the Glass Town Countdown culminates with the lifting of a beautiful 500-pound globe comprised of 750 glass balls. These colorful spheres are handblown throughout the year by visitors of the Ohio Glass Museum. The event, which is a partnership between Lancaster Parks and Recreation, Destination Downtown Lancaster, Visit Fairfield County, and the Ohio Glass Museum, concludes with a fireworks display over Zane Square.
