The Snapshots Photography Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Twig Books & More, located at 624 W. 5th Ave. in Lancaster (the former General Sherman Junior High School building). The group welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to seasoned shutterbugs.
Led by local photographer Matt Romine, the classes cover a range of photography topics, offer opportunities for photo walks, and provide a chance to simply enjoy time with others who share a love for the art form.
“My name’s Matt Romine, and I’m proud to call Lancaster home,” said Romine. “After living here for nine years, I’ve had the privilege of working on photography projects with Destination Downtown Lancaster and Visit Fairfield County, and I now serve as the official photographer for Gay Fad Studios. This community has given me so much, and I’m passionate about giving back through teaching and sharing photography.”
The club is more than just a class—it’s a community. Participants can expect to plan photography adventures, discuss artistic techniques, and find inspiration in the work and stories of others.
For those curious about photography or looking to improve their skills in a welcoming environment, Snapshots Photography Club offers an open invitation: come to a class, bring your curiosity, and share your love for capturing life through the lens.
