From the Fairfield County
Workforce Center
The Fairfield County Workforce Center will host the 2024 OhioMeansJobs Job Fair from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on October 17 in partnership with Fairfield County Job and Family Services, Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce and Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will feature approximately 60 employers and is open to the public.
Job seekers attending the event will be exposed to the various types of positions that are available in Fairfield County and the contiguous counties. Employment opportunities will range from manufacturing and skilled trades to healthcare, banking, government, and food service. In turn, prospective employers will have the opportunity to discuss their business, culture, and opportunities first-hand with attendees.
“We are looking forward to hosting this year’s Job Fair and anticipate a robust turnout of both job seekers and employers,” said Corey Clark, Director of Fairfield County Job and Family Services. “One of our main objectives is to assist the employees impacted by recent layoffs. The Job Fair provides an opportunity for them to connect with some great, local employers and take the next step on their career journey.”
“The OhioMeansJobs Job Fair is an excellent example of the partnerships between the Workforce Center, Fairfield 33 Alliance, our local chambers, and employment partners,” said Rick Szabrak, Economic and Workforce Development Director for Fairfield County. “We are all committed to not only developing a strong workforce in Fairfield County but providing opportunities for engagement between job seekers and employers, securing bright futures for individuals and businesses.”
The Job Fair will take place at 4465 Coonpath Road NW in Carroll, Ohio. Employers can still sign up by visiting https://www.fcjfs.org/job-fair.html.
While the Job Fair is held just once a year, OhioMeansJobs hosts onsite hiring events regularly for local job seekers. In addition, the OhioMeansJobs.com site is committed to using technology to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.
Locally, job seekers can access information by calling 740-652-7856, visiting the OhioMeansJobs office on the third floor of the Fairfield County Government Services Building (JFS), or visiting OhioMeansJobs.com.
