Two years ago, the Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society compiled a list of allegedly haunted places around Violet Township. Pickerington Online visited these locations and created the above slide show.

Reportedly, spirits are most active in the house located just north of the Pickerington Village Farmer’s Market lot which currently houses the Pickerington Law Office. Built in the 1880s, over the years people have reported hearing unexplained scratching and faint classical music.

Two blocks south on the corner of Center Street and Church Street, there are tales of a lady in olde-timey dress who peers from the second-floor window of the old parsonage.

For the “October Map of the Month”, the Fairfield County Auditor’s Office has compiled a listing of locations in the county where people have claimed to have experienced paranormal phenomenon. One of these locations, the Fairfield County Infirmary, is considered one of the most haunted places in Ohio and has been featured on the Travel Channel in addition to a variety of podcasts and YouTube videos.
