Featuring Ribbon-Cutting and Bunny Party

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The Pickerington Public Library will celebrate the grand opening of its new outdoor program space, Discovery Pavilion, on Tuesday, April 1, at 12:30 p.m. at Pickerington Main Library.
The community is invited to join library leaders, partners, and customers for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the open-air pavilion.
Discovery Pavilion was designed as a welcoming outdoor space where the library can expand programs, host community gatherings, and create new opportunities for learning and connection outside the building. The pavilion will support early literacy classes, educational programs, performances, and seasonal events for customers of all ages.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, The Bunny Party will serve as the official Grand Opening program, marking the debut of the Library’s new outdoor community space. This festive, family-friendly celebration will feature games, crafts, and activities both inside the library and outdoors at Discovery Pavilion.
Special guests, including Violet the Cow, the library’s beloved Reading Ambassador, will be on hand to kick off this exciting new chapter for the library.
“Discovery Pavilion expands how we serve our community,” said Library Director Tony Howard. “It gives us a flexible outdoor space where customers can gather, learn, and celebrate together. We’re excited to open it with an event that brings families and the community together. Be part of this historic opening and help launch this new community space for learning and connection.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony and Bunny Party celebration are open to the public.
