Pickerington Police Sept. 22-28, 2025

September 22

6:58 a.m. – Mockingbird Ct
A 21-year-old Pickerington man was arrested admitting to firing a gun inside his apartment while under the influence. No injuries were reported. The suspect was transported to Fairfield County Jail.

11:17 a.m. – Hill Rd N
Employees located a firearm inside a returned rental vehicle. The weapon was secured in the property room.

2:58 p.m. – Theft, Hill Rd N
A business reported a theft that occurred on September 20. Suspects unknown.

6:44 p.m. – Refugee Rd 

A 21-year-old Pickerington woman was cited for not maintaining a safe distance after striking another vehicle. The other driver sustained minor injuries and was later released from the hospital.


September 23

7:52 a.m. – Hill Rd N
Two canopies and two fold-up tents were found abandoned on a sidewalk and taken to the property room.

9:25 a.m.
A 68-year-old resident reported her identity was used to open internet accounts in New Jersey and Texas. Investigation pending.

10:29 a.m. – Urich Dr

A 49-year-old Pickerington woman was cited after striking a street sign. No injuries.

4:29 p.m. – Refugee Rd
A 20-year-old Reynoldsburg man was cited for not maintaining a safe distance after rear-ending another vehicle. No injuries.

9:04 p.m. – Grinnell St
A 28-year-old Pickerington man was arrested after assaulting an officer during a welfare check. He was transported to the Fairfield County Jail on felony charges.

12:51 p.m. – Hill Rd N
While searching for a stolen vehicle, an officer backed his cruiser into a street sign, causing minor damage. No injuries.


September 24

2:07 p.m. – Hill Rd N
Officers assisted staff with an aggressive client. No injuries. Subject transported for treatment.

2:29 p.m. – W. Columbus St
A 21-year-old Canal Winchester man was cited for not maintaining a safe distance after rear-ending another vehicle. No injuries.

3:55 p.m. – N. Center St 
A 22-year-old Baltimore woman was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way while turning left. No injuries.


September 25 

12:32 p.m. – Avebury Dr
A 50-year-old Pickerington woman reported that three rings valued at $4,400 were missing after a cleaning service visit. Investigation pending.

7:45 p.m. – Diley Rd
A 25-year-old Pickerington man was cited for not maintaining a safe distance. No injuries reported.


September 26 

12:17 a.m. – Refugee Rd
A 16-year-old male entered the police station requesting help. It was determined he was listed as missing from Whitehall. Whitehall police responded and took custody.

1:35 a.m. – Hill Rd
A 55-year-old woman was trespassed following a verbal disturbance at Heritage Lounge.

11:15 a.m. – Opportunity Way
Three juveniles from Reynoldsburg/Blacklick were located inside Pickerington Central and other out-of-district schools without authorization.

 

11:32 a.m. – Yarmouth Rd
A 21-year-old Pickerington man was trespassed from the Pickerington Schools Early Learning Center after lingering near the area.

1:48 p.m.
A 74-year-old resident turned in antique ammunition at the police department.

3:13 p.m. – Refugee Rd
A 21-year-old Columbus woman was cited for driving without a license and expired tags. Vehicle impounded.

4:53 p.m. – Diley Rd
A 20-year-old Canal Winchester man was cited for not maintaining a safe distance. No injuries.

6:18 p.m
A 71-year-old resident reported that a mailed check to USAA had been altered and cashed by another party. Investigation pending.


September 27

6:18 a.m. – Windmiller Dr
A 42-year-old Columbus man was cited for driving without a valid license and failure to use a turn signal. Vehicle impounded.

8:09 a.m. – Bretforton St
An 18-year-old Pickerington man was cited after striking a parked vehicle. Minor injury reported.

9:22 a.m. – Hill Rd N
Business reported repeat trespassers camping in the wooded area nearby.

12:45 p.m. – Courtright Dr
A 19-year-old resident was charged with assault and theft after officers followed up on a 911 hang-up call.

3:39 p.m. – Refugee Rd
A 74-year-old man from Fort Myers, Florida, failed to yield and struck another vehicle. No injuries reported.

4:36 p.m. – Courtright Dr
Several juveniles were trespassed from an apartment complex after complaints of “ding-dong-ditching” neighbors.

6:10 p.m. – Hill Rd N
A 39-year-old Columbus woman was cited for no driver’s license and expired registration. Vehicle impounded.

6:30 p.m. – Victory Park Violet Township Fire cut down a swing after a child became stuck. 

7:18 p.m. – Lockville Rd
Juveniles allegedly poured toilet water on another during a dispute. Guardian declined charges.


September 28

2:15 a.m. – Hill Rd
A 36-year-old Columbus man was cited for driving under suspension and slow speed. Vehicle impounded.
