11:15 am Staff at Pickerington Schools Preschool called a student’s family to pick him up after the three-year-old had a seizure and hit his head. When the boy’s grandmother arrived, the school nurse recommended that she take him to Urgent Care.

After leaving the preschool, the grandmother stopped at United Dairy Farmers. She allegedly left the boy in the car while she ran inside to “rinse his sippy cup and get him some water.”

While in the store, she reportedly noticed an employee removing items from the roller heater and asked what they were and what would become of them. The grandmother told police that the employee said the food had been on the rollers for two hours and was to be thrown away. She said that the employee offered the items to her for free.

However, the employee told police that she had clarified to the woman that if she wanted the food, she would have to pay for it.

When the grandmother allegedly took the food and left the store without paying, the store manager followed her to the parking lot, demanding that she pay for the items or return them. The grandmother reportedly responded by yelling that she was told she could have the items for free.

She then reportedly threw the food onto the ground and yelled, “Take your f****** shift leader ass back to your employees.”

The manager photographed the grandmother and her Chevrolet Traverse as she left the parking lot, then called the police.

While the police were in the store taking reports, the grandmother arrived and began photographing the staff and officers, allegedly saying, “See how it feels to have somebody be snapping a picture of you.”

The officers told the grandmother that she was being issued a “No Trespass” order for the store. She allegedly smiled and told the officers that she would return tomorrow and every day after that so everyone could see her paying for her items, and if anyone tried to give her free food, then she would say “no.”

One of the officers warned the woman that if she returned to the store, she would be charged with criminal trespass.

She allegedly smiled again and said, “Come on, baby. You do what you gotta do, and I’ll sue the f*** outta you.”

Meanwhile, the coordinator and nurse at the preschool heard of the situation and rushed to the scene. They allegedly found the boy covered in a blanket, slouched in his car seat with the outside temperature around 80 degrees.

Paramedics arrived to tend to both the boy and his grandmother, who said she had asthma and needed her inhaler.

The boy’s mother arrived, then his father with the medicine. The grandmother allegedly spoke with the mother (her daughter), called the lead investigator an a******, then left. The boy was released to his parents.
