
November 17
1:22 a.m. A Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy recovered an Infiniti Q50 that had been reported stolen from Overland Boulevard. Two bags, presumed to belong to the suspects, were found inside containing a T-shirt, several lighters and a set of keys.
1:43 a.m. While attempting to avoid a deer on Long Road, a 19-year-old Pickerington man lost control of his vehicle. The car struck a utility pole and a fence before flipping. He was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.
11:42 a.m. Police charged a repeat shoplifter with theft from Kohl’s. The 52-year-old Columbus man allegedly placed a Browns jersey and several dog treats into a bag pulled from his pocket then exited without paying.
12:41 p.m. A 47-year-old Columbus man was cited for making a prohibited U-turn on Hill Road at I-70 after his vehicle struck another.
1:09 p.m. Kohl’s reported that two men — a 26-year-old from Portsmouth and a 27-year-old from Otway — stole more than $800 in clothing. They allegedly left the store in a Ford Edge driven by a 19-year-old woman. When officers asked about additional bags in the backseat, the driver reportedly stated that those items were stolen from other Kohl’s stores. She said that she could not say which locations as she was not from the area.
3:09 p.m. A 70-year-old Pickerington woman reported that money and prescription medication had been taken from a lockbox in her home. No suspects were identified.
5:02 p.m. A 14-year-old Pickerington girl reported that her school computer had been stolen. No suspect information was available.
7:05 p.m. An unknown black SUV allegedly cut off another vehicle at the intersection of Tussing and Hill Roads, causing a multi-vehicle crash before fleeing the scene. Medics evaluated several individuals but no one was transported.
November 18
12:52 p.m. A white box truck allegedly struck a vehicle at Hill Road and Postage Drive, damaging a tire, before fleeing.
4:29 p.m. Using OnStar, Columbus Police recovered an SUV stolen from Old Diley Road.
5:42 p.m. After striking another vehicle and leaving, a 25-year-old Pickerington man was stopped by police and cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance. No injuries were reported.
9:38 p.m. A 16-year-old Pickerington boy was cited for driving left of center after he allegedly struck a parked vehicle near the corner of Preserve and Balderson Drives.
November 19
11:40 a.m. Witnesses reported that a 67-year-old Canal Winchester man took photographs up women’s skirts during a funeral luncheon at Seton Parish. When confronted, the man allegedly began deleting photos from his phone.
2:32 p.m. At Kohl’s, officers asked a 72-year-old Pickerington woman to pay for merchandise she had concealed in her coat. She complied but was still issued a “No Trespass” order.
8:11 p.m. A 52-year-old Pickerington man allegedly told officers that a voice over a megaphone instructed him to rest at a home on Columbus Street. After unsuccessfully attempting to enter through the back door, he tried the front, prompting a child inside to call his father. The man was criminally trespassed from the residence.
November 20
5:36 p.m. Ulta Beauty on Blacklick-Eastern Road reported that an unknown man stole a $200 fragrance and fled in a white minivan.
November 21
8:46 p.m. Police issued “No Trespass” orders to two women — a 28-year-old from Ashville and a 30-year-old from Columbus — after they allegedly attempted to shoplift from Kohl’s.
November 22
2:48 p.m. Police arrested a 52-year-old Columbus man for allegedly shoplifting from Kohl’s. His passenger, a 40-year-old Marysville man, was also taken into custody after officers discovered a felony warrant out of Delaware County.
