4:24 p.m. In the Cherry Hill neighborhood, a woman reported that her 14-year-old son had thrown rocks through the windows of their home. Police released the teen to another family member.
November 4
5:08 p.m. An officer pulled over a GMC Terrain near Circle K after clocking it traveling 43 mph in the 25-mph zone on Columbus Street. The 52-year-old woman driving was cited for speed and for an expired license plate.
7:32 p.m. At the AT&T store, an employee reported that a customer stole her personal cell phone after she briefly left it on the counter. Video surveillance showed that the customer she had been assisting—a mother with a young child—grabbed the phone and fled.
November 5
3:23 p.m. An unknown man was seen stealing electronics and shoes from Kohl’s.
4:14 p.m. At Five Below, an unknown man reportedly entered with an empty backpack and left with a full one before employees could intervene. He left the scene in an older dark-blue Honda CR-V with an illegible temporary plate.
November 6
8:08 a.m. A trailer carrying an ATV was reported stolen from the Winderly Ponds neighborhood.
4:49 p.m. During a basketball scrimmage between the Central Tigers junior varsity and varsity teams, a 16-year-old punched a teammate he believed was being too aggressive on defense. The injured 16-year-old was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with a black eye and may require X-rays.
November 7
3:22 p.m. A 19-year-old woman reported that a 17-year-old girl threatened to come to her workplace and assault her if she did not repay $25 she owed.
November 9
10:54 a.m. A 36-year-old Groveport man attempted to buy a bottle of Hydroxy Blend pills at A&A Tobacco and Vape, but his card processed only $0.02 before declining. He took the bottle and left without paying; his name on the credit-card receipt matched the suspect, and police linked him to a similar theft in Reynoldsburg.
11:25 a.m. In the Kohl’s parking lot, a loss-prevention officer reported watching a 52-year-old Columbus man place stolen merchandise in his Toyota Scion before returning to the store for more. When police arrived, they signaled for him to approach; officers recovered a pair of stolen shoes from his arms and placed him under arrest.returned and began throwing glasses. Police issued the couple a “No Trespass” order. The credit card was still on the bar.
