10:55 a.m. An unknown vehicle destroyed a mailbox overnight in the Manchester neighborhood.
4:22 p.m. At the Lakes Edge Apartments, kids were allegedly kicking in doors and throwing rocks at cars.
March 10
8:33 a.m. A 36-year-old woman was allegedly issued a “No Trespass Order” from Speedway for repeatedly refusing to provide identification when purchasing tobacco products.
11:51 a.m. When the staff at Circle K asked a man for identification, he allegedly presented two driver’s licenses sandwiched together. Due to this odd behavior, they refused to sell him tobacco products.
The man left and re-entered the store a short time later while staff members were helping other customers. He allegedly ran behind the counter, grabbed handfuls of “aromatic tobacco products,” and ran back to the entrance. However, the door did not open from the inside, so he rushed across the store to exit.
Police identified the suspect via the license plate on the Jeep Renegade he drove from the scene. They also reviewed Circle K’s surveillance video.
Half an hour later, an officer on patrol in Longview Highlands spotted the Jeep parked in a driveway. The door was answered by the suspect’s sister, a woman claiming to be his “baby mama,” and an unidentified man. The trio reportedly became confrontational and insisted the Jeep driver could not be the Circle K suspect because he had been home with them the entire day.
When the officer asked to speak with the suspect, the three said they were unable to locate him. The total value of the items allegedly stolen was $47.92.
March 11
10:36 a.m. A silver Nissan Altima allegedly struck a black Hyundai Azera while changing lanes on Hill Road near Cross Creeks Drive, then fled the scene. The Hyundai’s driver snapped a photo of the Altima’s license plate; however, the plate had been reported stolen.
Two days later, an officer located the suspect vehicle parked haphazardly across two spots in the Kwik Pak Carry Out lot. Running the vehicle identification number revealed it was last registered in 2022 to a Cleveland man currently wanted on a warrant. A sports-style water bottle on the floor had the name “Shameka” printed on it.
11:03 a.m. A loaded rifle magazine, a pair of AirPods, and a debit card were turned in to police by a parent in the Longview Highlands neighborhood.
1:07 p.m. A boy wearing a chef’s hat and his friend were allegedly caught on video smoking marijuana behind Grace Fellowship. At one point, the boy in the chef’s hat could be seen pointing a black handgun.
March 12
10:36 a.m. An officer on patrol discovered a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee parked at Marcus Theatre. The vehicle had damage to its rims, a broken rearview mirror, and visible damage where the license plate had been removed.
While inspecting the Jeep, the officer noticed the occupants of a nearby Kia watching him. When another officer approached the Kia, it sped off.
3:12 p.m. A student at Ridgeview Junior High accidentally left his earbuds in a classroom. When he returned, they were gone.
4:28 p.m. A 40-year-old woman was pulled over near the intersection of Hill and Refugee Roads for expired tags. She was also cited for driving without a license.
4:30 p.m. A 14-year-old Reynoldsburg boy was reportedly caught on Get Air surveillance stealing an iPhone 16, a pair of Nike shoes, and a wallet from two cubbies.
6:18 p.m. A 29-year-old man explained to police that he had to get his juvenile passenger to practice. That’s why an officer allegedly clocked the Honda Accord he was driving at 75 mph in a 45-mph zone on Diley Road. He was cited for speeding, driving without a license, and not properly displaying a license plate.
March 13
11:49 a.m. A woman reported that her 17-year-old son had been receiving death threats. A few years prior, he was the driver in a car crash that resulted in several deaths. He is currently incarcerated for vehicular homicide but may be released early. When the boy’s girlfriend posted on Instagram that she was excited about his possible parole, a person known only as “6” commented, “We killin him.”
2:32 p.m. An 83-year-old woman told police that while waiting for the light to turn green at the intersection of Hill and Refugee Roads, she began reading a paper and did not notice her Honda CR-V moving forward until it struck a Ford F-250 in front of her.
4:49 p.m. An officer was dispatched to the parking lot of Get Air on a report of a man slumped over the steering wheel of a Honda CR-V. The officer was able to rouse the 34-year-old man by knocking on the window. After stepping out of the car, the officer noticed a bag from the Kroger liquor department, but no bottle. The man allegedly stated he had only consumed a can of Miller Lite a few hours earlier.
When asked to complete a field sobriety test, he initially refused, stating, “I’m good,” but eventually complied. After showing signs of intoxication, he was arrested for driving under the influence. At the police station, his blood alcohol content measured 0.297. The legal limit in Ohio is 0.08.
6:14 p.m. A man was charged with driving without a license after he backed a Volkswagen Jetta into a Toyota Corolla waiting in the McDonald’s drive-thru lane.
7:25 p.m. A couple reported that an unknown person had accessed their savings account and used it to make a purchase from a company named “Car Spa” for $19,843.
9:16 p.m. A 26-year-old Honda Accord driver was cited for driving without a license after an officer spotted her vehicle at the intersection of Refugee and Hill Roads with expired tags.
March 14
10:40 a.m. After staff members at Ridgeview Junior High cafeteria smelled marijuana, the assistant principal followed the scent to a nearby bathroom, where he discovered a bent air vent above one of the urinals. Reaching through the vent, he retrieved a baggy of green leaves.
11:48 a.m. A utility pole on Raine Street in the Huntwork Gardens neighborhood snapped, causing power lines to fall into neighboring yards and onto a delivery truck.
11:30 p.m. A resident in the Cherry Hill neighborhood reported a fire at a neighbor’s house. Police arrived first and found a blaze inside a 55-gallon trash can. They extinguished the fire with short bursts from extinguishers. The Violet Township Fire Department arrived shortly after to eliminate potential hot spots. The garage door and a car were damaged. The cause of the fire was determined to be spontaneous combustion.
March 15
3:06 a.m. Police pulled over a Chevrolet sedan after it allegedly turned left onto Hill Road from the Comfort Inn parking lot. The 24-year-old driver was cited, and her 19-year-old passenger was charged with underage possession of marijuana.
