Pickerington Police March 16-22, 2026

March 16

8:50 a.m. Emergency personnel responded in Pickerington Village to assist a 50-year-old Baltimore man who was found slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle with a loaded handgun in his waistband.

4:24 p.m. A 24-year-old Pickerington man reported that an unknown person charged $7,000 to his bank account.

March 17

12:03 p.m. A patron of the Heritage Lounge reported that around midnight she stepped outside to smoke and noticed the front window of the Pickerington Tobacco Shop had been smashed. She told police the damage likely explained the sound of breaking glass she heard about 30 minutes earlier. Officers found a rock among the glass shards but no evidence of entry.

4:39 a.m. A man reported his car stolen from Preston Trails. The vehicle was located abandoned the following day by the Columbus Police Department.

9:26 a.m. A South Central Power employee reported that a 44-year-old Sycamore Creek resident had allegedly tampered with his meter to steal electricity. Police also discovered the man had multiple warrants out of Lancaster.

March 18

3:44 p.m. A woman reported that $800 was stolen from her wallet while she was at Get Air. Police have identified a 43-year-old Cleveland woman as the suspect.

March 19

3:56 p.m. Staff at the main branch of the Pickerington Public Library requested a “No Trespass” order for a disruptive 15-year-old boy.

March 20

6:08 p.m. Two Columbus men, ages 25 and 26, were arrested and charged with theft and falsification after allegedly stealing approximately $400 from Ulta Beauty.

6:50 p.m. Police received a report of two men attempting to enter vehicles in the Windmiller Ponds neighborhood. Officers did not locate the suspects but recovered wire cutters, plastic car parts, and vice grips.

8:53 p.m. A 31-year-old Columbus man was cited for running a red light at Windmiller Drive and Refugee Road and for driving under suspension. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Bexley Police Department.

9:30 p.m. At El Vaquero, a customer causing a disturbance threw corn on the cob, striking a waitress in the face.

March 22

2:34 a.m. During a traffic stop, K-9 officer Pempo alerted to the presence of drugs in a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Thornville woman.

4:16 a.m. Officers responded to a report of possible vehicle break-ins in the Cherry Hill subdivision. Two suspects fled on foot before attempting to leave in a vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and took both men—ages 25 and 26, both of Columbus—into custody. A search recovered numerous stolen items, including credit cards. Both were transported to the Fairfield County Jail and face multiple charges, including felonies.

9:57 a.m. A 76-year-old Pickerington man was backing out of his driveway across from Ridgeview Junior High at the same time a police cruiser was exiting the school lot, resulting in a collision.
