June 28

8:18 p.m. Police responded to a graduation party in Fox Glen West after neighbors complained about noise. Officers instructed the residents to lower the volume and left, but were called back following a second complaint. The graduate and their family were giving speeches over a personal address system. Residents received another warning for violating the Pickerington noise ordinance.

Later that night, a resident on a nearby street reported the music again. Because the residents had already been warned twice, officers informed them they would be cited.
At this point, the 47-year-old host allegedly announced to her guests that “the party was over.” A group of angry guests reportedly surrounded the officers, accusing them of racism and demanding to speak with a supervisor. When the supervisor arrived, he told the officers he would support whatever action they chose. As the party was already dispersing, no citation was issued.

1:54 p.m. A woman wearing black scrubs and purple Crocs attempted to purchase a gift card at LongHorn Steakhouse using a $100 bill. Staff believed the bill looked suspicious, and as they discussed it, the woman allegedly left without the card or her money. Police suspect the cash was a lower denomination that had been washed and reprinted.
