- 9:11 am: A 75-year-old man reported that his social security payments had been rerouted to an unknown bank account based in San Antonio, Florida.
- 9:45 am: Two teenage boys were issued no-trespass orders for Circle K after they were allegedly identified on surveillance footage stealing snacks on multiple occasions.
- 11:29 am: A silver Kia Rio was reportedly stolen from the Windmiller neighborhood.
- 1:35 pm: A man reported that a RiteRug van had parked next to his vehicle in the lot of the Meadows Apartments. The open door of the van rested against the mirror of the man’s Honda Civic while a machine inside the van was in operation. The vibrations of the machine allegedly scratched the mirror.
- 6:04 pm: An officer pulled over a Dodge 1500 after it allegedly ran the traffic light at Courtright Drive. The 24-year-old male driver had a suspended license.
- 7:51 pm: A gray Nissan Altima allegedly hit a Toyota Matrix that was stopped on Tussing Road at the Hill Road intersection, then left the scene. The 20-year-old female driver of the Nissan was identified.
- 10:27 pm: A Chevy Spark was pulled over on Columbus Street in Pickerington Village for allegedly driving without headlights. The 34-year-old female driver was wanted on warrants out of Pickerington and Canal Winchester.
June 22
- 10:35 pm: A Ford F-150 allegedly made multiple lane changes near the intersection of Refugee and Hill Roads without signaling. The 49-year-old driver had suspended licenses in both Alabama and Ohio and was wanted on a warrant out of Westerville.
June 23
- 2:17 pm: A washer and dryer were allegedly stolen from a home in the Sycamore Creek neighborhood.
- 9:54 pm: A 52-year-old woman was cited with forgery and identity fraud after allegedly shoplifting from CVS.
June 24
- 10:02 am: A man reported that four unauthorized charges were made on his account at Kroger.
- 12:40 pm: Fisher Homes reported that someone stole copper wire from a home under construction in the Retreat at Graystone.
- 11:28 pm: Three units at Public Storage appeared to have been hit by a vehicle, damaging their doors.
- 8:57 am: Someone allegedly broke into a Honda Passport parked at the Turnberry Apartments.
- 12:34 pm: A 39-year-old woman reported that her car had been stolen. She told police that she “knew for a fact” that she had driven to Classics Sports Bar in Pickerington then taken an Uber home. Later that day, she reported to officers that she had found her vehicle parked at Stygie’s Tavern in Gahanna (formerly Classic’s Bar and Billiard).
June 25
- 9:43 am: A woman reported that someone had removed the laptop from her vehicle parked in the Overland Park Apartments and thrown it in a nearby field.
- 5:57 pm: Someone allegedly purchased tickets from Marcus Cinema with a counterfeit $100 bill.
June 26
- 2:15 am: A 43-year-old man allegedly stole cigarettes from Speedway while his girlfriend was buying lottery tickets. When the girlfriend learned what he had done, she made him take them back.
- 2:08 pm: Someone allegedly broke into Pickerington Elementary School’s shed.
- 9:29 pm: A 22-year-old man was cited for driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for allegedly driving 58 mph in the 35-mph zone of Long Road west of Diley Road.
June 27
- 9:35 am: Fairfield County MRDD Northwest Center reported that a 28-year-old man mimed shooting the manager in the head after staff told him that they did not have cigarettes that he could borrow. He allegedly repeatedly told police that his name was “James Gordon” but used his real name when completing the intake forms.
- 9:34 pm: An officer pulled over a Ford F-150 after it allegedly ran the red light at Winderly Lane and Tussing Road. The license plate belonged to a Pontiac. The driver, a 33-year-old man, had a suspended license.
June 28
- 6:03 pm: A 50-year-old woman allegedly threatened to blow up her apartment complex in Olde Pickerington Village if her gas was not restored. The landlord reportedly told police that the woman routinely shuts the gas off herself to avoid being billed for its usage.
- 8:21 pm: A barn on Stemen Road caught fire, destroying everything inside including a Nissan Titan. Several propane tanks exploded. The cause of the blaze had not been determined.
- 10:35 pm: A 34-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence after he allegedly hit a mailbox on Hill Road before driving over the curb at Giant Eagle. His license had been suspended for prior DUI offenses.
June 29
- 8:36 pm: Witnesses reported that a Chevrolet Impala had been swerving in and out of lanes on Hill Road and had come to a stop behind BP. When officers approached, the 47-year-old driver allegedly yelled, “F__k!”
She told the officer that she had only had two Long Island iced teas but during the field sobriety test she allegedly could not recite the alphabet. She refused a blood test.
June 30
- 1:20 am: A vehicle was pulled over for expired tags and the 23-year-old male driver was also cited for driving on a suspended license.
- 10:40 am: A pop-up tent was allegedly stolen from an open garage in the Colony Park neighborhood.
- 10:08 pm: Three teenagers allegedly attempted to open a glass door and take a package from a home in Willow Pond.
July 1
- 7:26 am: A man in the Springcreek neighborhood was alerted by a friend that his minivan door had apparently been left open. While it appeared that someone had rummaged through the vehicle, the man could find nothing missing. He then realized that his Honda Accord was gone.
Police entered the stolen Accord into the LEADS database. It was last spotted on Livingston Avenue near Brice Road. Around this time, dispatch began fielding calls from other residents in Springcreek who also claimed that their vehicles had been rummaged through. Credit cards stolen from one of the victims were allegedly used by two young men at a Speedway in east Columbus. - 9:07 am: Unknown people allegedly vandalized the rental office of Turnberry Apartments, leaving behind an Icee cup and an opened package of cookies. Vulgar graffiti had been drawn on the walls and ceiling along with the message, “Gabe was here.”
- 10:32 am: A Karavan trailer valued at $2,999 was allegedly stolen from outside Tractor Supply Company.
- 11:20 am: Police received a report that a 27-year-old man had allegedly just stolen three pairs of Nike shoes from Kohl’s.
- 8:27 pm: A 26-year-old man was arrested after a traffic stop near Combustion Brewery & Taproom on a warrant.
July 2
- 6:30 am: Four women aged 18 to 23 allegedly broke into vehicles parked at the Pickerington Ridge Apartments and stole items. They are also suspected of taking a Kia Sorento which was later found in another part of the lot.
- 2:14 pm: A handgun was allegedly stolen from a Jeep parked at the Pickerington Ridge Apartments.
July 3
- 3:16 pm: A 19-year-old woman was bitten by a boxer-bulldog mix when she attempted to intervene in a dog fight at the Violet Township Dog Park.
- 11:28 pm: After the city of Pickerington fireworks display, a 45-year-old man allegedly entered the Circle K parking lot despite the lot being blocked off by construction barrels and police tape. An officer witnessed the man steer his Ford F-150 over the curb, nearly missing both a light pole and the officer’s cruiser. He was given a field sobriety test, then taken into custody.
July 4
- 11:51 pm: The owners of a home on Stonebridge Boulevard allegedly placed firework remnants in a trashcan beside their fence. The trash can caught fire, but Violet Township Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames without further property damage.
July 5
- 9:33 am: A resident in Preston Trails reported a fraudulent purchase had been made with his bank card.
- 9:31 pm: Officers were dispatched to Kohl’s on an alleged theft in progress. The 22-year-old suspect allegedly concealed the items he had collected near the emergency exit; therefore, nothing was considered stolen. He was issued a no-trespass order.
July 6
- 4:25 pm: A white Cadillac Escalade allegedly clipped the front of a red Acura ILX in the parking lot of CK Nails, then fled the scene. The 37-year-old Cadillac driver told police that she was unaware that she had hit another vehicle.
July 7
- 4:16 am: A 37-year-old woman brought her two Pitbulls to visit a 60-year-old resident of the Sycamore Creek neighborhood. When one of the dogs chased after a stray cat, the older woman tried to stop it, but the other dog bit the woman’s arm. The woman got free and attempted to run inside, but the dog bit her leg. The younger woman tried to intercede but was also bitten in the leg. The younger woman’s husband took the dogs back to their home. Violet Township paramedics transported both women to OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital.
- 8:48 am: Witnesses reported that two men appeared to be taking lumber from the construction site of a new home in the Reserve at Pickerington Ponds. One of the men explained that he worked for Trinity Homes and had been asked to move materials from one site to another. The other man was wanted on a warrant out of Morrow County.
- 9:20 am: Police responded to a report that the window of a GMC Yukon had been busted while parked at Cracker Barrel and two bags were stolen from inside the vehicle.
- 9:26 am: A resident in Longview Highlands allegedly questioned a stranger why he was walking along the woods behind her property. When the 37-year-old man leaned over the fence to answer, the homeowner’s dog bit him.
- 4:56 pm: Police issued a no-trespass order to a 34-year-old woman who was allegedly sitting outside Aldi’s door with a small child asking customers to buy her groceries.
- 6:05 pm: On South Hill Road, a woman alleged that her neighbor’s firework display had damaged her home, car, and new deck.
- 6:48 pm: A 45-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were allegedly caught trespassing at the Coyote Run Nature Preserve and destroying trees with a machete.
July 8
- 6:04 pm: A 37-year-old woman was allegedly caught shoplifting from Kohl’s. Officers caught her in the parking lot while they allegedly found her 18-year-old companion lying on the floor of their Honda Pilot. The two reportedly had taken more than $200 worth of toddler clothes.
- 8:34 am: A mini bike valued at $799.99 was allegedly stolen from Tractor Supply Company.
- 3:33 pm: A dog got loose in the Windmiller neighborhood and bit an eight-year-old girl in the face.
