January 19

3:54 p.m. Ulta Beauty reported that on Jan. 9, a 44-year-old man stole three fragrances valued at $335.93.

January 20

8:55 p.m. After allegedly witnessing a 22-year-old Whitehall woman fail to scan all of her groceries at a Kroger self-checkout lane, a manager asked her to relocate to a staffed register. The woman became argumentative and was issued a no-trespass order.

January 21

2:27 a.m. The Licking County Sheriff’s Office notified Pickerington police that deputies were pursuing a stolen Chevrolet Silverado traveling more than 100 mph westbound on I-70 without headlights. A male passenger had bailed from the vehicle, which had nearly struck a deputy. Officers deployed stop sticks near the State Route 256 overpass, damaging a front tire, but the truck continued westbound.

2:47 p.m. A resident reported a gun and a PlayStation were stolen from a vehicle parked on Courtright Drive East.

5:19 p.m. After being terminated from her position at Violet Springs Health Campus, a 43-year-old Etna woman allegedly started an altercation with staff.

5:58 p.m. Kohl’s loss prevention reported that on Jan. 18, a Groveport man known for prior shoplifting allegedly stole $163.97 in merchandise.

January 22

12:36 p.m. A 56-year-old Pickerington man caused a four-vehicle collision in the CVS drive-thru. No injuries were reported.

3:10 p.m. A 65-year-old Pickerington man reported that multiple bank accounts and credit cards were opened in his name without permission.

January 23

1:09 p.m. Officers arrested a 26-year-old Reynoldsburg woman after she allegedly threw large rocks at vehicles parked in the police department lot, damaging four.

8:37 p.m. After allegedly running a red light and making an illegal U-turn on Hill Road, a 24-year-old Columbus woman was also charged with operating a vehicle without a license.

January 24

11:54 a.m. Residents on Courtright Drive reported their home was damaged while they were out of town.

12:14 p.m. Police arrested a 29-year-old Pickerington man on a warrant out of Gahanna after a traffic stop near Hill Road and Diley Road for driving without a license.

3:51 p.m. A 40-year-old Pickerington man reported he was being extorted after sharing nude photos in what he believed was a private online conversation.

8:58 p.m. A 30-year-old Columbus man was arrested and charged with OVI, failure to maintain reasonable control, and possession of drugs after crashing into a Clint Drive medical building. Officers reportedly found more than two pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.
