Pickerington Police Feb. 9-15, 2026

February 9

10:20 p.m. Police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Hill Road and Stonecreek Drive South for not properly displaying a license plate. The driver, a 29-year-old Columbus man, was also cited for driving under suspension, and his vehicle was impounded.

February 10

8:09 a.m. A leasing office told a woman she could not rent an apartment due to a previous eviction on her record. She told police she believed someone had used her identity, as this would have been her first apartment rental.

11:15 a.m. Police were called to Ridgeview Junior High to assist staff with a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly fighting and threatening other students.

12:12 p.m. A business reported that someone had stolen a check and cashed it for a different amount than what was written.

3:41 p.m. A 32-year-old Columbus man was cited for driving under suspension, failure to reinstate, and speeding following a traffic stop.

February 11

9:53 a.m. A man reported that someone had attempted to steal his car parked in the Brookview neighborhood but was unsuccessful due to a faulty battery. The steering column was damaged and his keys were missing.

10:57 a.m. A 56-year-old Pickerington man reported that someone used his debit card without permission.

5:02 p.m. Two men known to Loss Prevention left Kohl’s with approximately $1,000 in clothing.

6:11 p.m. An employee at a business near the corner of Hill Road and Blacklick-Eastern Road reported an unknown female left with approximately $200 in merchandise without paying.

7:15 p.m. An employee at a business on Postage Drive reported that three unknown females left the store without paying for a large amount of merchandise approximately 20 minutes earlier.

February 12

7:18 p.m. A woman reported finding explicit photos and videos on her 16-year-old son’s phone.

7:24 p.m. Officers responded to a house fire on Courtright Drive. The residents were already outside, and no pets were inside. Violet Township Fire Department arrived within minutes and extinguished the fire. The cause had not yet been determined.

8:05 p.m. Pickerington Police assisted Columbus Police in serving an arrest warrant on a 23-year-old woman in Pickerington Village.

February 13

11:32 a.m. School administrators at Ridgeview Junior High discovered that several students had created and shared explicit videos and messages.

6:06 p.m. Employees at a business near the corner of Hill Road and Blacklick-Eastern Road reported an unknown female took approximately $1,900 in merchandise.

10:43 p.m. An 18-year-old Reynoldsburg man was cited for driving on a temporary permit and failure to obey traffic control devices after allegedly running a red light on Hill Road.

February 15

7:06 a.m. An employee reported that an unknown male entered a business on Hill Road overnight and stole more than $5,800 in cigarettes. The investigation is pending.

12:39 p.m. A 59-year-old woman reported her 60-year-old husband missing. A short time later, he contacted the station and stated he was not missing and had left his wife for his girlfriend.

6:07 p.m. Kohl’s reported that the previous day an unknown man left the store without paying for $239 in merchandise.
