12:20 pm A male staff member allegedly began arguing with a female staff member at Mackenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub prompting the woman’s boyfriend to intervene. The boyfriend reportedly told the man that “You’re not going to touch my girlfriend – I’m going to beat your ass.”
4:04 pm A 39-year-old Reynoldsburg woman was cited for driving without a license after her Honda Accord collided with an Alfa Romeo at the intersection of Hill Road and State Route 204. Due to conflicting reports, police did not fault either driver with the accident.
6:35 pm Someone allegedly tried to break into a Subaru Forester parked at Marcus Cinema, damaging the door.
8:55 pm Two boys (ages 16 and 17) allegedly beat a 13-year-old boy in Victory Park then stole his iPhone and Orbeez gun.
April 22
10:51 am Marcoin Business Services alleged that an employee stole more than $700 from the business.
6:18 pm A Hyundai Palisade was allegedly rear-ended by a white Ford Exhibition on the Exit 112B ramp from Interstate 70. The driver of the Ford skipped the scene.
6:24 pm Officers were called to break up a fight that was taking place in the intersection of Courtright Drive and Courtland Lane between two fifteen-year-old boys. Allegedly, the boys and a group of their friends had been hanging out at Dairy Queen when one boy stole the other’s Orbeez gun. This led to a chase then the fight.
10:50 pm Neighbors reportedly witnessed strangers break into a home on Long Road while the owner was away. They told the owner’s daughter the following morning.
10:51 pm A woman reported that her unit at Public Storage had been opened and all the contents had been stolen including tax forms and inventory for her business. She valued the loss at $1,000.
April 23
2:03 am An officer pulled over a BMW 535 on Refugee Road near Ohio Health Pickerington for allegedly driving 54 mph in a 40-mph zone and weaving between lanes. The driver, a 46-year-old Pickerington woman, said that she had drank one High Noon an hour earlier.
The woman allegedly struggled through the first two field sobriety tests (the follow-the-pen-with-your-eyes test and the heel-to-toe-walking test), then when asked to stand on one leg, she began to dance. When questioned whether she understood what was being asked of her, she allegedly replied that “this is ghetto Pilates”.
9:42 am A 48-year-old Columbus woman was arrested on multiple warrants after she was caught stealing items worth $371.76 from Kohls.
10:16 pm Police were told of suspicious activity in the laundry facility of the Turnberry Apartments. When officers arrived, they discovered two men (ages 38 and 36) and a woman (age 31) in a “room full of contraband” including drugs and weapons.
April 24
9:49 am A man wearing a reflective hood and a mask robbed Chase Bank.
4:43 pm Officers were called to Kohls on a report that a theft was in progress. A 42-year-old Columbus woman and a 41-year-old Reynoldsburg woman had allegedly pushed a cart of merchandise to the register then told the employee that they had already paid for most of the items. They gave the employee $5.98 for pillows then left the store with merchandise totaling $831.95 including two dental water picks, bedding and hair care items. Both women were wanted on warrants from other cities.
5:58 pm A student allegedly got into an argument with other girls at Pickerington High School Central, then after school, one of the students poured milk on the girl’s head as she was walking home.
7:16 pm An officer conducted a traffic stop at Columbus Street and Lockville Road for fictitious plates on a Ford Focus. The 27-year-old driver was also cited for not registering the vehicle.
8:06 am Ryan Homes reported that a plumbing package valued at $1,112.49 was stolen from a home under construction in the Graystone neighborhood.
1:25 pm Witnesses told police that a gray Dodge Charger hit a parked Kia Soul in the Zapatas parking lot then fled the scene.
3:44 pm Officers were called to the Cherry Hill neighborhood on reports of a woman taking an axe to the front door of a home. They learned that a 17-year-old boy at that address had recently broken up with his 19-year-old girlfriend. After he had physically forced her to leave, she allegedly returned with an ice scraper and began hacking at the door.
April 26
12:00 pm A 77-year-old Pickerington man called police to report that on April 20, he had been involved in an altercation at Heritage Lounge. He said that a 35-year-old man from Atlanta, MI arrived at the bar and threatened a 57-year-old Pickerington woman by saying that her son would be getting his “karma”. When the older man intervened, the younger man pushed him.
12:08 pm An 80-year-old Pickerington woman reported that she had been scammed out of $54,000 by someone she met online.
7:21 pm A surveillance camera at Get Air allegedly caught a 24-year-old Lancaster man stealing a cell phone from a 20-year-old Westerville woman.
April 27
9:14 am A man called police to report that his 84-year-old mother had fallen victim to an online scam which resulted in her sending $40,000 in Bitcoin to a stranger.
11:03 am A red Cadillac Deville allegedly backed into a Chevrolet Cruze in the Tim Horton’ parking lot then fled the scene.
1:26 pm A bicyclist reported that he almost fell into a hole on Stonecreek Drive between Roosters and Ohio Health Pickerington because someone had removed a storm drain cover.
8:32 pm A 39-year-old Columbus woman and a 52-year-old Columbus man were allegedly caught shoplifting from Kohls. The two were wanted on multiple warrants from various agencies and the woman had drug paraphernalia in her purse.
April 28
2:26 am Police received a noise complaint regarding a house party on Diley Road near the creek (just east of the Cherry Hill neighborhood). Officers reported that they could hear the party from Hill Road.
When the police arrived, they learned that a large group of men had rented the house for a bachelor party and that the man responsible for the party was wanted on a warrant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
3:43 am An unknown suspect triggered the burglary alarm at Smoke Zone.
April 29
7:58 pm A 25-year-old Pickerington woman showed police derogatory texts that she had been receiving including one that read “fat sloppy body b___h always playing side ho”. Her phone also recorded thirteen missed calls from the same number. She told officers that she believed the texter was her coworker who was also her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend.
11:23 pm An officer pulled over a Hyundai Elantra after it allegedly did not stop at the stop sign by Steak ‘n Shake. The driver, a 24-year-old Columbus man, did not have a license and was wanted on a warrant from Reynoldsburg.
April 30
7:40 am A woman reported that a Ford Fusion cut in front of her vehicle on northbound Hill Road, near the State Route 204 intersection. She said the driver flashed a gun at her then ran the red light.
1:50 pm A 69-year-old Pickerington man told police that someone had opened a Verizon account using his information.
6:56 pm Fairfield County Sheriff deputies asked Pickerington Police to help with an alleged 19-year-old impaired driver who crashed on Gender Road near Winchester Pike.
May 1
2:40 pm Someone allegedly stole cash and prescription medicine from a Honda Civic parked at Comfort Inn.
8:24 pm A 32-year-old Pickerington woman was issued a “No Trespass” order from McDonald’s because she allegedly refused to “wait for her order at the next window”.
The woman said that she frequents the McDonald’s Drive Thru, and they often mess up her order, so she always checks the bags. If she waited at the next window, then an employee would hand her the bags then walk away.
On this day, she did not feel like parking her car, unbuckling all three of her kids, then herding them all inside to get their order fixed.
May 2
1:42 pm The Loss Prevention Officer at Kohl’s asked the police to take part in a “Dishonest Associate” interview. Surveillance cameras allegedly recorded a 61-year-old employee using someone else’s Kohl’s cash, pocketing underwear and jewelry that customers had left at her register and stealing a pair of sunglasses.
3:32 pm A 53-year-old Reynoldsburg woman allegedly shoplifted $268.19 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s then attempted to leave in a Buick Enclave driven by her 74-year-old mother.
May 3
4:55 pm A woman gave police a video that she said showed her 13-year-old son being chased across the grass at Victory Park by someone driving a white car.
12:14 pm Pickerington High School Central asked police to break up a fight between two boys in the bathroom.
9:06 pm An unknown woman allegedly placed items into a bag before running out the back of Ulta Beauty.
