11:11 p.m. An unknown vehicle (possibly a silver Ford Edge based on parts left at the scene) struck and damaged the crosswalk sign at the Refugee Road/Fuller’s Way roundabout.
April 21
7:42 a.m. Someone triggered the alarm at Tractor Supply Co. after cutting through a fence in what appeared to be an unsuccessful attempt to steal a 40-ton log splitter.
5:19 p.m. Police arrested a 16-year-old girl after she allegedly shoplifted from Kohl’s, then went to Petland wearing some of the stolen clothing.
9:16 p.m. A 57-year-old man reportedly stole a Mercedes from Shawnee Crossing.
8:11 p.m. In the Graystone neighborhood, a teenager allegedly pushed a boy to the ground and stole his bicycle.
April 22
9:18 a.m. Several children allegedly stole three packages of gummies and three Snickers bars from Circle K.
3:46 p.m. Upset that her phone had been confiscated, a student at Ridgeview Junior High began damaging the school’s office.
8:22 p.m. After pulling over a Ford Fusion in the KFC parking lot for an expired registration, an officer discovered the driver had a suspended license and was wanted on a warrant.
April 24
7:52 a.m. A resident near the Cherry Hill neighborhood reported that someone had stolen her Chevrolet Trax and used her credit card. The vehicle was later recovered by the Pataskala Police Department.
April 25
9:53 a.m. The owner of a strip mall near the corner of Refugee Road and Ebright Lane called police to have a delivery truck removed from his property for unloading in front of the building. While police were en route, the man allegedly tried to push a Coca-Cola driver out the door of Dollar Tree.
The owner denied physically engaging the delivery man, stating that he had a written agreement with Dollar Tree requiring all deliveries to be made through the back door. However, a Dollar Tree staff member told police that company policy requires deliveries to be made through the front doors.
10:17 a.m. Staff participating in the City of Pickerington’s Earth Day Clean-Up reported finding a gun in the woods along Opportunity Way. Officers took possession of the item, which they identified as an air pistol.
11:18 a.m. City staff collecting litter near Pickerington High School Central found a glass pipe in the woods.
11:50 a.m. The manager of Circle K provided police with surveillance video from April 22 allegedly showing a boy wearing a Pickerington Tigers baseball uniform stealing condoms from a package, then returning the empty package to the display.
5:13 p.m. Police received a report that two Ridgeview Junior High School students had been seen making out on the bus.
5:17 p.m. A young man allegedly entered the main branch of the Pickerington Public Library and began assaulting another teen. Witnesses reported that as many as 10 teenagers attempted to intervene. A chair and an ottoman were broken during the fight.
7:09 p.m. Emergency crews responded to a BMW on fire near Firehouse Subs.
April 26
10:17 a.m. Volunteers collecting litter as part of the Pickerington Lions’ Earth Day event discovered a Rossi revolver in the mud behind Kohl’s. The serial number was illegible, and the gun was too corroded to check for bullets.
5:48 p.m. After an Audi struck a tree near Long Road, Pickerington Police broke a window to free the driver and began CPR. Violet Township Medics transported the man to OhioHealth Pickerington, but he succumbed to his injuries.
