Pickerington High School North Theatre is set to captivate audiences with its production of SIX, a vibrant retelling of the stories of Henry VIII’s six wives. The musical transforms these historical figures into a dynamic pop ensemble, each queen sharing her narrative through high-energy songs inspired by contemporary music icons.
“We chose this show because it’s a bold, empowering, and innovative musical that resonates with both students and audiences,” director Allen DeCarlo-Boyd said. “Its contemporary pop score, combined with the reimagining of historical figures, makes it incredibly engaging and relevant.”
The show offers strong, dynamic roles for female performers and presents opportunities for creative staging, lighting, and costuming.
“We had the people to do the show, and we ran with it,” DeCarlo-Boyd said.
Leading the cast are Kamryn Dansby as Catherine of Aragon, Abby Stanley as Anne Boleyn, Ally Carroll as Jane Seymour, Olivia Painter as Anne of Cleves, Alison Snyder as Katherine Howard, and Daisha Price as Catherine Parr. Understudies include Emerson Bevan covering Aragon and Anne Boleyn, Maya Turner covering Seymour and Howard, and Kamaryn Reedus covering Cleves and Parr.
“Most of the ladies onstage have been with me since seventh grade, and this is now their senior year,” DeCarlo-Boyd said. “It’s been the utmost pleasure watching them grow into young, powerful women. They each have their own unique interests, and that’s what makes them so special to watch on stage.”

Snyder, who, along with the other girls, has been a familiar face on the North stage, said that of all the shows, SIX has been her favorite. The pop-style music and the crowd interaction diverge from the format of a typical musical.
“Think of it as a concert, essentially,” Snyder said. “We tell an old story in a much more modern way that is unique.”
The show will run from March 27 to March 30 at the Pickerington High School North Performing Arts Center, located at 7800 Refugee Rd. Evening performances will take place on March 27, 28, and 29 at 7:00 p.m., with a matinee on March 30 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and available for purchase online through the Pickerington Schools’ box office.
