For one weekend only, Donna and the Dynamos are bringing their high-energy performance to Pickerington High School Central with the hit musical Mamma Mia!
Mamma Mia! is a jukebox musical featuring the iconic songs of ABBA. The story follows Sophie, a young bride-to-be, who secretly invites three men from her mother’s past to her wedding—each a possible father—in hopes of discovering who will walk her down the aisle. The result is a heartfelt and hilarious story filled with chaos, love, and unforgettable music.
The show’s soundtrack is packed with energy. “The songs are really fun—you can feel the energy from every single cast member, and the music will get stuck in your head!” said Eli Boen, a member of the ensemble. With upbeat rhythms and lively performances, the music has a way of pulling the audience into the action.
That energy carries into the choreography, as performers bring the story to life through dynamic dance numbers that keep the audience engaged from start to finish.
Behind the scenes, the dedication of the cast and crew makes the production shine. “They’re so fun and wonderful, and so dedicated to making the show great,” said Brooke Carver, who plays Donna. From rehearsing vocals and choreography to building the set, students have worked tirelessly to create a memorable experience.
The visual elements add another layer to the show. “All the costumes and sets are really colorful and fun, and it has really good vibes,” said Abby Ketcham, a member of the stage and run crew.
Performances will be held at 7 p.m. March 19–21, with a 3 p.m. matinee on March 22 at the Central Performing Arts Center at Pickerington High School Central.
Tickets are $15, plus a $1 transaction fee, and can be purchased online through Pickerington Local School District’s event ticketing page at plsd.us/students-families/community/event-ticketing or at the school box office.
