On Sunday, December 15, the Lancaster Men’s Chorus will be performing their annual Christmas concert, titled “Repeat the Sounding Joy,” at Fairfield Christian Church in Lancaster. The concert will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

“It will be a very entertaining and enjoyable event and not too expensive,” said John Long, a chorus member from Pickerington.

This year’s concert promises to be a heartwarming celebration of the holiday season, featuring a selection of traditional pieces like O Holy Night, a beautiful arrangement of Silent Night, some spirituals, and even a piece arranged by Long.

“Of course, Santa Claus will make an appearance, and we’ll sing ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’, ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’, and an audience favorite – ‘Reindeer on the Roof’ complete with some (not so technical) choreography,” Long said. “I think the audience will leave with a feeling of JOY!”

Tickets for the concert are available for $10 if purchased in online or $12 at the door.

“The funds raised by this chorus go to fund scholarships for high school students that will be going to college in Music Education,” Long said. “As a retired music educator of over 40 years, I think that it is awesome! That is one of the main reasons that I joined the group. I had several students over the years that earned that scholarship.”

Doors will open 30 minutes before the show, so attendees can enjoy some pre-concert refreshments and socialize with fellow music lovers. The church is located at 1965 North Columbus Street, Lancaster.

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to experience the magic of the holiday season through the voices of the Lancaster Men’s Chorus. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to their performances, this concert is sure to leave you with a warm and joyful feeling.
