Pickerington, Ohio – The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with security officers at Pickerington High School North have successfully recovered a firearm from a student’s vehicle at 7800 Refugee Rd., Pickerington, Ohio 43147.

A staff member with Pickerington North High School alerted administrators to concerning behavior in a car on school grounds. The school was placed on a Level II lockdown while the situation was assessed. The SRO (School Resource Officer) and security responded, and upon investigation a handgun was located inside the vehicle. The Security officers notified the School Resource Officer of the firearm located.

The individual arrested, identified as Jeffrey Turner III, 18 yrs. old is charged with Illegal Conveyance of Deadly Weapon/Dangerous Ordinance in School Safety Zone and transported to the Fairfield County Jail.
