Fairfield County Foundation Grants $65,000 to Local Food Pantries

December 8, 2025

LANCASTER, Ohio – The Fairfield County Foundation is pleased to announce the distribution of grants totaling $65,000 to 14 local food pantries in advance of the holiday season. Funds for the food pantry donation were provided through the George and Dollie L. Zimpfer Memorial Fund and from proceeds of the annual 250 Plates Community Meal, which has raised more than $132,000 for local food pantries, Keller Market House and Destination Downtown Lancaster since it started in 2019. “Local food pantries are a vital resource for individuals and families across our community, providing essential support and connection for neighbors who may need a little extra help. Changes in funding and government benefits have significantly impacted their operations this year, so we are pleased to be able to continue our tradition of supporting local food pantries each holiday season,” said Amy Eyman, Chief Executive Officer of the Fairfield County Foundation.
