From the Fairfield County Foundation
The Fairfield County Foundation recently announced the recipients for the third and final grant cycle in 2024. The Foundation awarded grants to 13 organizations totaling $171,625 at their November Board meeting.
“Over three grant cycles this year, the Foundation awarded 35 grants totaling $487,219,” said Amy Eyman, Chief Executive Officer of the Fairfield County Foundation. “We are proud to support such a diverse and important list of community initiatives across Fairfield County and grateful to our fund holders who make these grants possible.”
Below is a complete listing of the Cycle 3 grant recipients:
- Ann Chess Fund – Lancaster Handbell Ensemble (7th Octave of Choirchimes (bells), guest artist performances, and music commissioning)
- Fairfield County Health Fund – Fairfield Community Health Center (Handrails for sidewalks at front entrance from parking lots)
- George and Dollie L. Zimpfer Memorial Fund – Destination Downtown Lancaster (Downtown bench replacements), Fairfield Center for Independence (Ramp and home modification program, Pink Ribbon Good (Support for cancer treatment patients in Fairfield County), Salvation Army (Adult Day Care expanded services: On-site bathing/showers)
- James H. Bowen Fund – Fairfield County Visitors & Convention Bureau (Outdoor information kiosk in downtown Lancaster), Fairfield Foster Closet (Car seats and duffel bags for foster or kinship placements in Fairfield County)
- Michael Moyer Fund – Fairfield Area Humane Society (Surgery and recovery room equipment for new building expansion)
- Patricia Beam Fund – United Church Homes (Pickfair Square intercom security system)
- Ward R. & Dorothy Delancy Halteman Fund – United Church Homes (Pickfair Square intercom security system)
- Wendel Family Fund – Fairfield Area Humane Society (Surgery and recovery room equipment for new building expansion), Lancaster Vineyard Church (Drainage improvement project at food pantry site). Lancaster/ Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce (Conference room catering station), ProArteOHIO (Support for Lancaster performances)
2025 Grant Cycle Deadlines
CYCLE 1:
- Preliminary Grants Due: January 13, 2025
- Grant Application Due: January 31, 2025
- Grant Committee recommendation to Board of Trustees for approval: March 20, 2025
CYCLE 2:
- Preliminary Grants Due: July 14, 2025
- Grant Application Due: August 1, 2025
- Grant Committee recommendations to Board of Trustees for approval: September 18, 2025
