LANCASTER, OH –Dr. Carri Brown, Fairfield County Auditor, has been appointed to the national editorial board of the Journal of Government Financial Management, a publication of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). Her term will begin on July 1, 2025, and run through June 30, 2028.

The appointment was confirmed by the AGA National Governing Board following a formal nomination and review process. The Journal Editorial Board plays a key role in shaping content and contributing to the nearly 75-year legacy of thought leadership in public financial management.

“I’m honored to serve on the Journal Editorial Board and contribute to the professional discourse around transparency, accountability, and innovation in government finance,” said Brown. “This is an opportunity to represent Fairfield County on a national stage and help elevate best practices that benefit communities across the country.”

The Journal of Government Financial Management is a leading publication that features research, case studies, and expert commentary on issues facing public sector financial professionals. As a board member, Auditor Brown will collaborate with editors and fellow board members to guide editorial direction and uphold scholarly standards.

Auditor Brown brings to the role deep experience in government finance and administration, having served in the field for more than three decades. Her work has emphasized fiscal responsibility and servant leadership.
