60 years ago, a decorated glassware company called Gay Fad Studios led by Fran Taylor, closed following 24 years of a meteoric rise to international acclaim. Gay Fad Studios was a uniquely American story where hard work, determination, and creativity paved the way to unbelievable success. It was also a uniquely Lancaster, Ohio story as the company was headquartered here from 1945-1962. The story had been all but forgotten until recent efforts aimed to raise its visibility and importance within the community.

Please join us as David and Jason Annecy formally announce the next phase of reigniting Gay Fad Studios’ story and reach. We encourage attendance as they set out to contribute to Lancaster’s historical downtown and to our identity as a Glass Town that we hold dear.
